Wow, just wow. I am in love. I’m going to make these for my Mom, hardest person ever, for what to gift!❤. I am thinking about doing 2 layers of black 1 to cover excess mica, then one to make the back a solid black. I do love these. I think a snow leopard print might be cool as welll!

Love these. For 3D what about flipping the black dots after they dry and the a thin layer of clear before the powder and top up with black? Your inspiring my thoughts too. Just got to finish the sewing projects I have then on to resin creations ❤

Hi Julie, WOW super cool I loved them thanks for sharing 🥰👍🤗
@kikibigbangfan3540 Жыл бұрын
I have a suggestion. Start with your color base of gold and copper directly on the silicone. Add your black animal print blobs on top, to keep the the 3D effect and then finish off with clear resin to see through to said effect of the rounded shapes. Hope this helps.♥️

Yes, that's what I was thinking too. I'll try it :)

Ok think they came out really pretty regardless that you didn't get the 3d look, do you know what to do differently next time to achieve the raindrop 💧 effect? Ironically I too saw Tea & art's video on this technique and was so happy that you were giving it a go. Thanks for sharing☺️better luck next time

Hi Julie love these 😍 but think you would need to put a layer of resin down first the gold then do the spots to get them 3d , thanks for sharing ❤️ xx
@Nirrrina Жыл бұрын
A need tip bottle would probably allow you to get the sots the way you needed them. Or a blunt tip syringe. Even a condiment bottle from dollar tree would work. But just tapping it down seems to work too.

I think if you reversed the layers and did clear on top of the dots, you'd get that 3-D effect. I mean, the bottom of the dome is always flat, so you definitely wouldn't have that when the bottom is the front. But if you pour your black first, then do the micas, then drop your dots on top and clearcoat the rest, you might get a 3-D effect. Especially if you build up your spots in layers! This is an interesting effect, and people can do many kinds of patterns with it, including zebra and leopard prints. Really nice and shiny.

Could you cover the spots with a thin clear layer then dust the back of the clear while it’s still tacky then do the black background to get a more 3D effect? I love these just how they are. I like the flat look. It looks more like actual tanned hide.

Loved this video. They turned out great but could have been better! Personally, I would have done a load of the black shapes and then do a thin layer of clear resin about 2-3mm let that get to a state that u can put the black drops into it (curved side down) then let it completely set up then added the mica powders and then the final layer of resin, when solid u will have the 3d effect you are after!

Idea: #1) Do your spots again and let them harden then add a thin layer of clear, just enough to surround the spots and secure them in place. Once it's all hardened, take them out of the mold, flip them over and add the chameleon colors then the black on top of that. Think that might work? You'd have the bubble effect and a super thin clear layer and the metallics under that, and so on. #2) Leiopard spots - sparkly golden resin dots spaced out just enough, then when hard go around them with black resin in a ring. Or just the black rings themselves. Harden. And maybe #1 idea above to finish?
@charlenelesher1198 Жыл бұрын
Love these leopard spots! I think I'm going to try using UV resin for my clear drops and cure them so they have 3 D shape to them. Then I will dust with chameleon powder and fill with regular black tinted resin. I'll try that this weekend! Thanks for the great videos!

Such a fun and unique concept! Cheetah spots are flat, otherwise they are lumpy/bumpy cats. I honestly thought you were going to make cheetah print hearts. That would include very small spots. Your plan for the hearts was ideal.

Wow there's a lot of input here, so many ideas. I've looked at your leopard, and wondering how to make it pop, so I thought if you repeat your technique on a holographic mould, what would the result be like? I'm thinking it would be stunning.

Just FYI, the photo you held up is a Leopard, but the photo in the thumbnail is a Cheetah. Leopards spots are more rosettes, Cheetah’s have actual spots. lol, wrote this before you got to the part where your husband made the observation of the spots.
