The pillow in the SheleeArt technique is made up of a low sheen wall paint and allows the color layers to float over them. [It’s time and cost saving] A faux pillow is a color layer that is over the pillow and intended to mimic a tinted pillow. Check my channel for other videos where I use this technique…unfortunately it’s easier to understand seeing how it’s used than explaining it. ❤️. please feel free to ask for anything more.

Can we see your pillow paint?

The base pillow is wall paint… it’s there to allow the color layers to float on. The Faux pillow is the black layer that is placed on top and the color layers are pulled through. The pillow will shine through if you dig too deep but it not necessarily a bad thing. It almost gives a backlit effect that is very cool when it happens.
