I can understand what you are saying. But there are a ton of others that only do acrylic pouring on KZbin as well. I love that she is doing different things now. I just love to watch these artist and see them do whatever they choose because it is making them happy which in turn makes a great channel and I feel so much happier after watching.

You wouldn't be able to guess that is resin, that is all I can say. Nice work Julie, you created something out of resin, that doesn't even look like resin. I am very very impressed. I hope your mold is OK! And you are able to make us something very beachy themed with it. ;) Love from the PNW!

Love the way he came out. Much more "whaley" than if the foil had worked. We saw the whales up close and personal from our sailboat in Bahia Magdalena in Mexico. They came an rubbed their chins on the boat. They looked much like this one, but blue silver. And BIG! Our boat was 50 feet, and all our "visitors" were longer. Thanks for reminding me of that experience.

*Julie:* I want some copper to show through...I don't want to cover the whole thing with foil... *Also Julie:* Covers whole thing with foil... 😅😆💕👍 I'm very surprised how the copper took over...how did it do _that?_ Wow...who knew!? But, Julie, your whale is *_gorgeous!_* Yes, it looks like a patinaed metal. That foil is amayyyzing! I have never seen anything like it on the market, so I'll go have a look for it. That foil and copper powder would be gorgeous in the puffy hearts, btw! 💕❤💕

Just downright beautiful. But I'm wondering if putting a thin layer of resin & curing it to a tacky state first which should help with keeping your foil from flying away & ensuring the foil will be visible in the end product? But nonetheless, your work & creativity is amazingly beautiful.

Julie I'm writing this 8 months after you posted this but I think you can turn this into something incredibly beautiful with a little after finessing. You are a talented artist and I love how you reach for different effects with things you have in your supplies. Like you said you didn't know what you were going to do with this stripe you foil but I think what you were going for what's a wonderful idea and I think you should try it again. But back to this piece I think if you maybe kind of did some after work with maybe some acrylic paints and maybe a top coat you could turn this into something incredibly unique. You have great instincts and I wish you really truly understood what a gift that is. Van Gogh passed away not knowing what an incredibly brilliant artist he was and I think that's the mark of a true artist you're never happy completely with what you do. I really love that you showed this because you give me an inspiration to just go for it. And like some of your flowers when the crystals weren't completely in the middle you would add little dots or extra pieces I love that. I hope you still have this piece and you bring it back out and Fiddle with it. I am one of those people too that sometimes cannot stop myself and I fiddle it into a big mess. But then I have stripped it clean and went back over it and it came out better even though it came out different than I want it then it would have if I didn't mess it up in the first place. Anyways I adore you in your your incredibly optimistic beautiful attitude you are a light❤

Next time around, I would "paint" the foil on with a thin layer of clear resin, or clear uv resin, let it harden, and then do everything else you did the same. I think you'll get more of the vision you were going for. It'll take more time, but the results should be awesome! It's very pretty, but like you, I wanted to see more of the foil also.

Did they have similar foils but in silver tones? Like silver, pewter, antique silver, almost blackened silver varied colors on one. Then you could use the mica powder for the flippers and belly. Slightly realistic but also the pretty art aspect with the scale type foils.

Foil is transparent that’s why you lost the effect once you added the heavier powder.Try the body without next time, you may need to have a transparent foil inside instead of the black.Test a small area like in one of your hearts to see what works. These foils look amazing added to the acrylic pours to add interest to areas ,you can make sports of glue then add ,or areas with lines in ,in fact your imagination can create all sorts.?but best to test on small areas before bigger areas. The foils are very thin and transparent, compared to the other types. That’s why these are classed as leaves..I do love Wales and other sea creatures they look amazing decorations in a bathroom 🥰
