Amazing on the longevity it must be the New England seafood. Enjoyed, love old cemeteries

My Grandfather, a lifelong Vermonter and vegetarian (he only ate fish) lived to be 103 so there is definitely something there!

Thanks for the video. I decend from 9 of 51 Mayflower passengers who survived. I am decendant of Contstance Hopkins, daughter of Stephen Hopkins, via her daughter Mary Snow. I decend from John Doane and per my family tree he is 7x great grandfather of Lizzy Borden which I guess would make her my distant cousin. Joseph Rogers in my 9x great uncle. I decend from his brother John Rogers decendant of Thomas Rogers. I decend from his great granddaughter Elizabeth Rogers Williams and her daughter Elizabeth Williams Macomber. My great grandmother was Georgia Macomber. A surname that goes back to the 1630s in Massachusetts. I also decend from the Abbots and Perkins of Massachusetts both of which were my great grandparents here in Oregon. Family who have slowly been moving west forc400 years. Hard to wrap my mind around it really. Thanks again. Love the videos.

Cool to find this video. I am a direct-line descendant of Giles Hopkins (pronounced 'Jiles'), son of Steven Hopkins, also on Mayflower. Giles was one of the few children aboard the ship. I still share the last name. Very cool, but the things worth being proud of are ones personal accomplishments!

What is the oldest date of death you've been able to make out on an original (not later erected) tombstone and what was the earliest birthdate you've seen, not just here but in your travels?

Sadly, I cannot remember. I need to start making some notes! I visited a medieval cemetery in Ireland and shot a lot on my old iphone which won't charge so I lost a lot of footage. One day I need to get it fixed so I can access the footage.

Not as old as these but, I have behind my yard the grave of a Minuteman ( it’s on the stone) of Deacon Staples died at age 79 in 1778. Very cool. We place a flag on grave when needed. Taunton, MA

I was curious if u ever did research on Marshfield. The first born male in this country Peregrine White ( his parents from the Mayflower) and if he had any children?

In the readings “Dec’d” followed by a date is an abbreviation for deceased, not December. Probably everyone already figured it out, but I thought I’d bring it to your attention

I’m related to Giles and Constance Hopkins. Direct line down to my mother. On my father’s side of the family we are related to Standish and the three families that married in to each other’s families. At last count there are 35% of Americans that are descendants of the Mayflower passengers. 😂 💜💜💜

There was often a headstone and a foot-stones. The foot-stone often had just initials.
