We've really lost something special when this iteration of Ektachrome was taken away from us in 2012/'13.

Hello, I just discovered your channel as I was looking for ektachrome footages to decide myself shooting it (it is pretty hard to find some on the internet actually). Your scans and colors are incredible ! Also, can what wide angle / macro lens you're using ?
@negativespacefilmlab3 жыл бұрын
I believe it was a 16mm Switar lens for all of this, because it was shot a while back when I only had a few lenses

@@negativespacefilmlab Okay thank you ! I am looking for wide / very wide angle c mount lenses for my Pathe electronic duolight 16mm, if you have any recommendation ?
@negativespacefilmlab3 жыл бұрын
@@Marco-mq4nu I currently have a 10mm Switar and a 5.7mm Kinoptik. The Kinoptik is a rectilinear lens so it's not a fisheye, but it's extremely wide! The 10mm is a good wide lens though for most purposes

How'd you achieve a slow enough shutter for those light trails? Thought the bolex only went down to 12 fps?
@negativespacefilmlab3 жыл бұрын
The Bolex can take single, timed exposures. Those light trails would have just been me manually opening the shutter for a second or two at a time

could the same effect be done on a super 8 camera

Is this from original film stock or converted from a larger film stock using a film slitter? Also, what is the age of the film stock?
@negativespacefilmlab3 жыл бұрын
This was the original film stock, though it was the previous iteration of Ektachrome, shot around 2012. It was fresh stock for the time

Bolex H16. I meant that I’ve applied some sharpening to it

Were these shots color graded?

I gave the roll of film a one light pass, but didn’t do anything on a shot-by-shot basis
