Shorty here as well. I have used a drawer for my spices, usually one right next to my stove. I lay all of them on their sides so it's easy to see the name when I open my drawer. We had mice when I moved into our current home, so I bought covered organizer drawers from Dollar general to store my spices within the drawer. I put spices used for baking in one organizerr and savory spices in another organizer.
