I feel like the guitar could have been a bit louder than the backing tracks, found it got drowned out a bit. Regardless of that I just found your channel and glad I did. Interesting video with good playing. I've got an 8 string and this makes me think of when I mess around playing riffs from the 7th string instead of 6th, although your playing is much better than mine haha

Hey there! Thanks so much for watching and subscribing! 🙏 I was wondering if the guitar was too quiet so I appreciate this feedback. Yes, I did the same thing on my previous 7 string. I like the baritone since all the chord patterns are the same but I may sell this since it's not ideal for metal. I've contemplated an 8 string but I don't think my hobbit hands would reach 😂

@ThomFoolery1 I've got shortish fingers and the 8 string is a struggle but definitely possible with enough practice ("Practice? What's that?") What makes that baritone not ideal for metal, the pickups or the frets?
@ThomFoolery119 күн бұрын
@SprinkCalSA Both those exact reasons! The mini hamburgers are low output. Nice clarity and unique sound but not great if you're like me and work with plugins vs real amps. And yeah, the giant frets make technical stuff feel like a cardio workout 😂

There´s a reason why songs are in certain tuning, but yes, a nice experiment. :) And the guitar sounds great! An off-topic question: did you use click-track recording this?
@ThomFoolery119 күн бұрын
Hey friend, thanks a lot for watching! I didn't use a click throughout but I did add a couple of 4 beat count-ins between transitions to help switch tempos.
