How does an Engine driver know that there is caution order? Why such orders are needed? Please clarify.

There will be given a physical copy of all the cautions order that are present in the route before the departure of the train. Apart from that there will triangular boards present on the route ( next to tracks ) to indicate the speed at which the train should clear the section.

Bengaluru Chennai trains get mixture of KJM, ED, RPM & AJJ locos. Yes, KJM is bit rare compared to other sheds as most of the KJM locos work SWR trains.

Chennai mail is hauled by RPM WAP 7 loco almost daily.

@@srinivas_a.r. maybe I ain't aware about it.. also not aware of link shares... Usually the SR brindavan and DD get the rpm and ed links and kjm link is always a rare for these 2 trains. BTW rpm locos are everywhere ruling even in swr territories so no surprise of it going with mas mail..

@@srinivas_a.r. I Even wanted to give a small information which I think maybe correct I ain't sure, but the wap7s in Karnataka tn and Kerala got started with lgd wap7. The lgd wap7 was the initial link for SBC mail and lalbagh and in majority I saw in those days mabe around 2007-08 I ain't sure.. These 2 were the only trains in Chennai or Bangalore or Kerala to have wap7 as the link. Maybe natrajan sir can verify and say if I am correct or wrong...
