⚠ IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS issued by SA Weather Service⚠️
🟡 Yellow Level 2: Disruptive Rainfall leading to localised flooding of susceptible formal/informal settlements, low-lying roads and bridges is expected over the north-eastern parts of the country.
🟠 Orange Level 5: Disruptive Rainfall which may lead to widespread flooding of roads and settlements, damage to mud-based houses and displacement of communities along the coast and northern parts of KwaZulu-Natal.
🔥 FIRE DANGER WARNINGS: 🔥
Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the central parts of the Northern Cape.

A steep upper-air system is expected to affect the eastern parts of the Eastern Cape, parts of KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga, Gauteng and Limpopo until Thursday (18 January 2024). The public is advised that stormy conditions such as severe thunderstorms and disruptive rainfall leading to flooding can be expected in places.
