I maybe wrong but India must go in for extensive multirange anti ship missiles which are land based with ranges from 300 km to 1500 km missiles ..which can take down big warships ...it will work out much cheaper and more deterrent and more kill effective for the Indian navy ...

NG OPV is upgrade over Saryu Petrol Vessel,how come it's underarmed even compared to it's predecessors. It should have: 76mm Oto Melara 2 Pantsir M/PALMA/RIM116 CIWS with SR SAM,replacing 2 AK630 CIWS. 2 VSHORAD like Automated Mistral/Starstreak 2 Triplecell Light Torpedo tubes 2 Quadcell Cannister Launchers for 8 NASM MR 4 RWS like Typhoon 4 cell VLS for 16 VL SRSAM/ESSM(Optional) Indian Navy also needs FAC/NGFAC but not armed in its current configuration,with displacement of 350 tonnes it can be armed similar to Combattante 3A/Saar 4/Gumdoksari/Kilic/FAC55/Skjold/Hamina/Type 22/Roussen/Rauma/Goteborg/Visby/Stockhom Class It's ideal deal would be; 57mm Naval Gun 6-8 NSM/NASM MR/Seabreaker/RBS 15 or other Missiles in Cannisters (4×2) 1 Pantsir M/PALMA/RIM116 CIWS 2 ELMA 600 ASW Rockets/Mortars 2 RWS 1 Minelaying Rails 8-12 cells of IR SAM

It is Swedish 🇸🇪 Visby Class Corvette. It can fire RBS 15 MK 2 anti ship missiles and torpedoes but it has no good air defence system other than Bofors 57 mm and a Rheinmetall soft kill system.
