I noticed while watching the Mobius Evolution clips (the one(s) with Blaze), that it takes alot of inspiration in the audio direction, from MegaMan X5, one of my favorite games. The music in the underwater stage when the giant chomper is chasing you, it plays the Boss/Maverick Theme from X5, and when you clear a stage, much like the romhack Sonic Boom, it plays the Maverick/Stage Introduction theme from X5 when you begin a stage that has a Maverick you didn't beat yet. I like that it reuses some MegaMan X5 music but in the Genesis soundfont, since I am a huge MegaMan fan, and X5 was my first X game, so it holds a special place in my heart!

Wow that custom bosses are better than my custom bosses. Yup, i have a sonic fangame but with bomberman and shantae made in Super Mario Bros X 1.4.4. engine. In my fangame sonic fight not only with eggman, he can fight against Shantae enemies and Bomberman Bosses in sonic boss battle mode. This bosses of those games are incredible 10/10 Pd: in my custom bosses, some bosses are original boss es mode.

That last boss was just the Labyrinth boss from the Master system port of Sonic 1. Still, it must have been harder, since in that version, Sonic didn't need air, while in the one you played, he did.
