My favourite foundation is La Prarie. I only bought it once, at an airport, when I had money to burn. NOT disappointed. And their night cream was even more amazing.

Since you are stepping into ultra luxury I think you should test the la prairie anti aging foundation too. I have been curious about the difference of the two maybe the LaMer/la prairie/Sisley showdown. I have a concern or question one factor. Normally sunscreen is placed under our foundation so we can get the benefits from it. When sunscreen is placed first do you think it might interfere with the foundation and all the skin enhancing benefits?

I’ve been using this foundation for about two months because it has a beautiful colour range. I’ve got mixed skin with tendencies for acne. It goes on super streaky, even without face cream. The foundation really grabs all the dry patches, and doesn’t hold very well, even with powder. It’s low coverage and sits in the pores. The streaking does disappear with wear, but I think it’s due to the foundation’s poor longevity on the skin. Doesn’t break out but would defo not recommended for mixed to oily skin with blemishes. You can find better ones for a lower price. I’m a makeup artist so I know my stuff. Sisley is a great brand for older people or people with dry or uncompromised skin, but is extremely pricey. Their photo teint éclat is way better for oily skin.

for me personally I feel like I would want a foundation that costs that much to last longer than 8 hours. I work an 8 hour day, and would want my foundation to last if I was to go out for dinner or something after work too, since I don't always have a lot of time to do major touchups

from the drugstore, I'm currently mixing the milani conceal & perfect with maybelline Fit Me matte & poreless, (partly just because the milani shaves are all too warm toned for me on their own), on the high end makeup side I have had luck with make up forever. I have used the mat velvet + in the past, and recently just tried the ultra HD liquid foundation and really liked it

Yes I love Milani but I also have to mix it with something else for the undertones. I'll try it with the Fit Me, I didn't even think about that.

A lot of times I mix shade 05 and 02 together because 02 is too yellow and 05 is too gray and I'm like a warm-neutral. So mostly 02 with a touch of 05. I have mixed it with my CoverFX custom cover drops to neutralize it as well which works amazingly because it gives it even more coverage! I've also used the L'oreal true match foundation, but that one makes me break out :( Oh, also the Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation. That one can get a bit cakey but I really warm up it up with my finger while I'm mixing and add a drop of argan oil. Foundation mixing is my favorite hobby hahahaa

That foundation seems to be worth 170$ your skin is naturally beautiful, but this foundation looks flawless on your face. I suffer from comedones myself (flesh colored bumps) and I have tried EVERY product to treat them and get rid of them to no avail. Do you have any suggestions for comedones? the foundation seems to be worth the price the way your face looks. 170$ is alot, but its almost a miracle foundation lol.

Amanda Nicole I have tried everything. blackheads are not my issue. comedones are my issues, and theirs nothing you can extract out of a closed comedones. Theirs no head to them, therefore the dirt and impurities is stuck under the skin, and unless it comes to a head your screwed. I've tried EVERYTHING. extractors work alright, but they only remove SOME blackheads and not all. So its a lose lose situation lol

The Cherokee Gypsy I get comedones too and I use a very fine syringe, one of those that are used in insuline pens, to open the skin with. Once the skin is opened the comedon is easy to pop out. I even remove the comedones I get on my eyelids that way. Of course I have to be very careful with the syringe when I use it close to my eye but with practice I can remove all of them. I have noticed that if a comedon is developing close to the eye lashes it gets pressed out by itself. It gets bigger and after a couple of days it's gone so there's no need to use the syringe on them. You can buy syringes in drugstores and if they don't have the small ones for the insulin pens you can buy the thinnest available. A syringe is very sharp, much sharper than a needle so it goes through the skin without leaving any scars. Sometimes I need to 'dig' a little deeper into the skin and then it can bleed a little but the tiny wound closes immediately and soon after you can't even see where it was. And that little white ball is gone without a trace.

Lena Stensgaard Very interesting concept. I have never heard of anything like that in my life. I'm willing to try anything once, so maybe I need to invest in a syringe myself. It does make sense though. that's why their comedones and not blackheads. blackheads you can pop, comedones don't come to a head a lot of the times. That's a very interesting technique. This foundation is the bomb!! I own it, and tell Beauty KZbinrs about it all the time, but no one listens to me. I've tried La Mer, La Prairie, By Terry, Chanel Sublimage, Charlotte Tilbury, and many many other high-end foundations. Sisleya left them for dead, which is saying a lot. CT Light wonder, is my second favorite from the enormous list that I tried out. What people don't understand is that most foundations contain harsh chemicals that sit on the face for hours, which then penetrate into the bloodstream. Sisleya is not just a foundation, but it has added skin care properties. My skin looks better/glowy the next morning after applying it the day before. Hows that for a foundation? Yes, Yes, Yes, it makes your skin look younger and lifted. It is pricey, I recommend purchasing from Beauty Encounter, if it is in your color.

I tried on the foundation today in store (Bloomingdales). The 1.B looked great on me! The lady at the counter refused to give me a sample, though. Suffice to say I'll wait for a good % off through Ebates then buy it! :) As you said, the foundation lasted HOURS, even after washing my face twice because it was so hot today! I have combination skin (more dry now that it's winter) but this foundation did not cake or accentuate the dryness!

So sad I bought this as as I have dehydrated skin and flesh colored bumps on my front flat side cheeks area (both side of my nose) and this foundation make those bumps area looks bit dried and powdery... definitely can not use primer underneath as it won't absorb in your skin but stays on top. So am Still on a hunt to find my holy grail non-makeupy foundation that looks naturally fresh on skin. Any recommendations anyone?

Esther craft You could use the primer of Sisley. The one with the pink top. I use that and the foundation and even if I have red spots or something like you it works! Also, use an hydration cream before all of that.

I usually love your foundation tests, but I don't like the whole "half face with primer" in this instance. A foundation that is also supposed to act as skin care wouldn't work as well with a primer underneath. Other than that, your reviews are great.

Sharon Keeley you can get leaders mask for super cheap like £1 a piece on Gmarket global and the shipping is not horrendous too. that's where I get all my Korean beauty fix. Takes awhile to navigate the site but you'll get the hang of it eventually. I feel you as there are SO many UK skin care items that I yearn for but cost an arm n a leg for shipping. :(
