I got one for a Christmas gift. One of the best purchases in golf I’ve ever made! I have been able to really work on my stroke way more than in the past, and I’ve seen the improvement already in less than a month.

I have a cheaper version which I bought from from Decathlon a month ago - not quite as many lines but similar set up otherwise. Find it helpful, particularly in grooving the putting routine. I had a lesson with a teaching pro on setup and alignment before I bought it and find that I am striking the ball more consistently now.

Almost exact same model exists but plastic, works the same but much much cheaper. Besides that, it's a great practice. Try to hit it from right lane to left hole and vice versa. 😀
@MrSmoothie244 жыл бұрын
I've had it a couple of months now. Make sure you have a nice level surface such that if you putt it on line, it doesn't veer off the line. When I first placed on the carpet, the ball would curve off the line because of the uneven carpet underneath.. On hard flooring, putts started on the line would stay on the line up to the hole.
@bballlover94 жыл бұрын
Pros: The smaller hole really helps you hone in on your speed and should lead to less lipage. Cons: The ball retriever is a bit slow and really needs to be on a flat surface or it might get stuck. Overall: Great buy and usually putt from the back because I figure if I hit it that straight anything short of that will most likely go in. I always put on the smaller hole too.

Bought it for retail super disappointed in it because the carpet was curled up. Going to take it back and in the process stared using it and now I’ve fallen in love with it it’s probably staying home with me

Can you flip the ball return to the other side for LH players
@jacobgalindo18573 жыл бұрын
I had the 15 ft one and wanted to like.. but the mat never laid flat. On the run of the mat you could see the edges were slightly off the ground. I even sat it rolled out in the sun hoping that would help. When putting in it the ball would pinball around. For $220+ I expected more and back to the store it went. I talked to the guy at the golf shop and he said they have been getting them returned for the same reason. Hopefully others have a better experience.

I have bought one for our office and feel that it really helps with getting a good roll on the ball and keeping it along the line, if you don't hit it smoothly it doesn't go in...we cant walk past it without having a putt
@tjkoll10 ай бұрын
I just recieved mine...its such a great idea but quite honestly the ball doesn't roll smoothly..in fact you can actually see the bumps from where they rolled the putting surface up for shipping. Also, I have it on a perfectly even floor but the ball has a break to it...I reverse rolled it as suggested on the instructions but still bumpy with a break. Hopefully the bumps will settle down after sitting a day flat on the floor...but I doubt it.

What did you do to make the ball return work correctly? On mine, the balls get hung up in the catch basin, IF the ball does get onto the chute to begin it’s journey back to the user you’ll be lucky if the ball gets past the first junction. The magnetic method of attaching the wooden ball return pieces together leaves a lot to be desired. Due to the ridge at each junction of the ball return I had to wet sand and refinish the wooden pieces and then permanently affix them together with small brads so the junction doesn’t hinder the return. BTW, it IS level. It’s now at least usable but your ball return looks like 2X speed of mine. Putting on it is realistic and rolls nice but the engineers who designed the ball return need to revisit this area. EDIT 15 November 2021 … I contacted the manufacturer and explained my problem. They are sending a free replacement, no questions asked. I believe they are aware of the ball return track problem. Good customer service and an extra + if they address the root cause and re-engineer a solution.

I have a cheaper version which I found great for dialing in your stroke... The only problem is when at the course you can make strange with the real hole because your eyes are so used to looking at the lines...
@_dboy_3 жыл бұрын
I got the cheaper version on Amazon as well! I like it so far. I wonder how close it is to this. Seems like the exact same thing. But I also wondered how the raised hole might mess you up on the course. They said it's meant to train you to put it 18 inches past the cup. Happy putting!

Like the mat a lot, only issue I ran into on unboxing was the edges of the mat curled a lot from being rolled up. Had to leave it for several days with books / clubs along the edges to try to flatten it out. And still can't put down the line past 4 ft (both sides break to the middle of the mat) so I have to aim to the alternate target. Any tips on fixing that?? Did you run into that at all?

I'm happy with mine but I only spent $100. I got the mat to flatten by running an iron through it. Definitely rolls great but it takes up a lot of space and makes a lot of noise when the ball rolls into the hole or hits the back board.

I just got one , my damn cat sure does like to block my putts or bat at my ball but other than that it has been really great. I have been using 3 different putters trying to see which I can hole more putts in a row with and kind of driving myself insane tbh. I try to get 10 in a row from 6 feet and normally with the blade putters ill slightly pull or push it right around putt 8 or 9. the spider is the winner right now which I cant really stand because it seems like 1 out of every 20 putts with the spider goes 100mph for some reason...
@nickpiggott6493 жыл бұрын
I've had the same problem with Spider putters, I really can't get why they are so popular as the face seems mental. I missed a 2ft birdie putt once and put it 6ft past and I've never played one since. I then went to a Scotty M2 Newport Mallet - kind of half size, but the feel off the face is great. If you ever want to test a new one, thoroughly recommend - I've been playing it almost a year (ovs on-off) but my putting, specifically my short putting within 8ft has never been so consistent.

Pros: it’s a straight 9’ putt. What more could you want? Cons: the turf is warped to hell upon buying. Out of the box, it is in no way a straight putt. Requires ironing / anti wrinkle methods that I was not expecting. Can not aim for the small hole, as both edges push hard to center. Will take. While to literally “wrinkle out”.
@adrianmardlin3 жыл бұрын
Don't like mine. The edge of the mat nudges the ball back online, so it's like 10 pin bowling with the bumpers in the gutters. Almost impossible to miss.

Check out the cheaper version on Amazon if you'd like to save a little money. It is pretty nice and seems identical to this. Says it has the same "crystal" synthetic turf as this one. Maybe check reviews before pushing the buy button, but as far as looks and quality are concerned it seems comparable. I believe it was about $60 USD cheaper.

Remember ladies and Gents, when it says "includes paid promotion" it's not a review, it's an advertisement. Drives me insane that this channel keeps calling these kind of videos reviews when they're not. Call it a "showcase" or something that doesn't mislead your viewers.

Hi Matt. Thanks for your comment. The 'paid promotion' refers to the featured products from FootJoy (apparel) and Titleist (balls) not the product we are reviewing - in this case the Perfect Practice Putting Mat. We do explain this in the video description. All our reviews are just that...Reviews. However if you do buy the product via the link in the description we receive a small affiliate commission payment. Again this is outlined very clearly
