@@MsLA-tz4si Not sure what the sq/ft. is but it's at least 3000 from the looks of it, maybe as much as 5000, and it's in the Gold coast which is the most expensive neighborhood in Chicago, so assuming it sells for at least 1.7mill assuming it's around 3000 sq/ft. then you're looking at about $26,350 in yearly property taxes. Rate is slightly over 1.5% of the total value of the home. But, I think it's probably closer to 5000 sq/ft. so I'd guess it probably goes for about $4.5mill, which would make the property taxes be at about $69,750. If the same house were in Ravenswood or somewhere like that, you are probably looking at $2.4mill for the cost of the home, but you pay a premium to be in the Gold Coast and Streeterville and Lincoln Park and Lakeview neighborhoods. Actually, I just looked on a map, and this is basically west loop, not really gold coast. It's close to where the old Cabrini Green housing projects used to be, so maybe one could pick this up for like $2.4. Not sure.
