Great haul! You did really well, lots of meat. You always make me chuckle. Salted caramel butter. Someone will jump on that and make a fortune. I found a couple of bargains when I shopped on Monday. Chicken breasts were BOGO--buy one get one free of equal or lesser value. Each pack was about 1134 grams and priced at $13-$14. So I ended up with over five pounds of chicken breast for $14. There was also a sale on tuna, same size can as yours, for 10 for $10. The potatoes were horrendously priced, tho...$8 for 5 pounds/2.2kg!! I want to make a potato salad and prefer plain white potatoes for that. High prices compared to yours but good for my area. I'm off now to go to the bulk store to shop for the food bank drop this afternoon. Take care! 🥰🐢

Km glad you were able to nab some bargains, we all need that little extra don't we. That is expensive for taties isnt it. Ours we grown in tubs have grown and Come through well, so thankfull for that. Your so good, the food bank must be very grateful to have you xxx

@mummycookshomemade Just got back from shopping, waiting for the food bank to open so I can drop it all off. They are very appreciative. Yes, that is expensive for plain white potatoes, about $2 more than russets or golds. I usually get the baby potatoes, but even those are $3.29 for 680 grams. They're saying that the drought affected the potatoes, so the prices aren't going to get any better. The wheat and corn crops are affected either by too much rain or no rain. Mother Nature is having temper tantrums and the world is paying for it. Lol

Belgium buns are lush 😂 Ginger biscuits as a base on cheesecake is nice. I love the seeded bread but from aldi 😋 Iv just bought all my Xmas cake ingredients 😂 il be soaking the fruit soon. Lidl do family size tubs of flavoured yougart and it's lush 2 quid odd worth a look as in my house we go through gallons 😂 Guiness sausage casserole mix is lovely.

Ah to Edit real life out is to be false with the subs, what u hear when me and Steve haul is our usual Day to day banter, always been same after 24.yrs. There's vids with me messing up cooking too, think the Xmas cake shows where I didn't push the mixer paddle down properly and spray painted myself And the kitchen, was Funny. Just 45p for a pack of 6 crumpets. My husband has these but as I am coeliac and therefore have to be gluten free my pack of 4 crumpets are £2.10p, occasionally £2 when on Clubcard price offer. Just had to get in my little ‘moan’, as for me being gluten free is not a fad or choice, I have NO choice! But it is ludicrously expensive when for the price of one of my crumpets ‘normal’ people can have a whole pack of six!!

I hope he’s in an area where he still gets basics on prescription, it’s disgusting that most of us can’t nowadays unlike when I was diagnosed 34 years ago and got bread, pasta, biscuits and flour on prescription- though there was little in the shops then! x

Because he has alot of needs due to autism and being diabetic he gets his for meds Free, but no help on the 2 restricted diets, the coeliac and diabetic, which is wrong really. Your Right not enough help is given. I Sympathise with your plight on regards to cost, although the ranges have improved greatly, the price has grown too. People on a budget would really struggle xx

Minced pies!! I have to mail order these and they are very expensive. My Christmas gift to myself. Have to order in November as they sell out. As much as I like strong cheeses, you do need the slices for burgers. When my mom would buy a bag of MMs for us to share, my sister would count them out. She would never take the browns ones because she didn't like chocolate. Yup. That was a huge haul, lot of work. Hi from rainy Oregon!

Thought you did a good job showing us the food shop, I love food shopping, love emptying the carrier bags and seeing it all, but hate putting it away !!, wish there was a putting shopping away fairy 🧚‍♀️ that woukd come & do it for me !!! 😊 missed yours & Steve's banter & you telling him off that's so funny !! I've tried s couple of the Guinness sauces, 1 was a marinade & the other just a casserole 1, they were nice, it was a while ago tho, they were on offer. Hi Hailey great shopping haul you got uour monies worth .I got mince pies about this time last year and at Christmas we had eaten loads of them Christmas day we couldn't face a mince pie .today I went shopping and saw mince pies in asda when I came home I told Andy about them and I said last year we are so many mince pies we couldn't stomach them at Christmas so this year I'm only going to buy some the beginning of December.
