Nicely picked. These came from a large lot of locks... some had master wafers and all standard pins. Some were pinned with factory security pins. All were nib and keyed alike.

do you have any more with that restricted keyway?

Thanks, at least it didn't have master wafers in it.

Nicely done! I've had one of these for a few months now but it was so gummed up with rust and something sticky that I have to play around with it to loosen all the pins just so I can try pick it properly. Mine has the same body and logo as your silver one but has the same key hole as your blue one. Weird eh. I have yet to open mine, I think a long WD-40 bath is my next move.

Surprised by the spools :). Maybe they didn't come into play that much because of the bitting. Like the blue color of your other one a little more ;D. Nicely picked Pete, nothing that holds you up :D.

Thanks, I never really felt the spools, but the tension may have something to do with that, and they wern't the deepest of spools. Glad you liked it.

Nicely done! For an American clone, it appears to be quite a fun lock to pick.

Well done: These federal padlocks are often difficult to read. ;)

Thanks, that one was a bit awkward.

Nice pick, I have a Federal that looks identical to the silver one except the cores are different, mine has the standard American core, with the bipassable design at that and I had to add the bipass wafer. Well now it's a good lock. lol

Thanks, not sure why they have different cores, but the blue on is very similsr to the American cores, and American key even fits in the keyway.

Very challenging locks. LPL gave me one of those. I've managed to open it twice. Do you find that yours calls for heavy tension? Mine does. Good locks. Like you said not an easy pick.
@peterestall7 жыл бұрын
Thanks, they are tricky, I haven't picked it for ages so I cant remember how much tension I used, bit I usually use a really light touch and just add tension if I'm not getting anywhere.

looked like a nice fun pick.

Thanks, I do enjoy a nice Padlock, and very similar to picking a nasty 1100.
