It' a traditional Spanish feature that allows you to leave all the doors and windows open even when you're not at home.

The prison bars on the windows, tell us all we need to know about the locals. A 10 minute drive on a "track" to reach the house from a real road, sounds like E100,000, rather than E175,000.Other than that, it's a nicely laid out home.
