Again a interesting repair video, i like these a lot. Do you never thought about to invest into a ESR Meter? There are a lot of these Transistor Tester on ebay, based on a small Atmel AVR project from some guys of an electronic forum. You get them for much less than 20€ incl. shipping. I'm using one and its great for just checking components if they are still in spec.

+MrReeceyburger123 hi there, i've just watched your video and have the same problem with a similar power supply out of a goodmans LD3265D1 tv. The panel no is a 17PW20.1 and the poly caps are 15n j 1KV V9. code or number above is: Z104712404 652. could you possibly advise me where i could buy some new one's i've tried maplins but no joy. I am a novice and have no formal training in electronics but if i can fix something for a few quid rather than 100's for a new one then hey!! save the planet and all that. cheers Alan.

+Alan Stubbs Hi Alan thanks for the comment, you can get them off ebay for cheap all you need to look for is 15nf 1000v on ebay and several will come up. Be sure to use polly film caps though. Also I advise you change the other caps that I did in the video.

thank you i have exactly the same power supply and i was hoping with the same poly cap problem but sadly they check ok reading 15nf. I have no standby light and noticed Ic mosfet 825 is shorted a surface mount which could explain things. I might send it off for a professional fix Thank you

I was thinking of bidding on a Toshiba LCD TV which is going for $1 on a local buy/sell site, would you think it is worth it? The owner says it does not power on at all so probably a power supply issue, would also be good since I'm getting into repairing sets and learning on the way.

Hello again update on this identical power supply i have made progress since last comment. I have all voltages now and backlights. My video is dim however and that is where i am now. Can you advise me re dark video? Thank you

If all my power supply voltages checkout (3.3v, 5v, 12v, 24v), and the tv still won't turn on (shows stanbdy led on) should i assume the logic board is faulty?

Yes normally the 8 pin epprom Ic in the centre is failed, replacing it will normally sort the issue.

I have found shorted pwm regulator ic from Fagor FA 152 antenna power supply. It is labelled 10A38 a. It has 6 legs. Where I can find those components?
