Every time Notre Dame plays AT Florida St or in a Florida Bowl game vs FSU, the refs bend over backwards for the Criminoles. This game is a perfect example. 1. Call of unsportsmanlike conduct on the 2nd Hamilton INT when HE WAS OB ON HIS OWN BENCH AREA is the most absurd call I've ever seen. The play is over once he's OB, and since he intercepted it, its a possession change, so he's coming out of the game. He has every right to take his helmet off. Ridiculous. 2. The play where that 2nd string FSU QB was about to be sacked for a 20 yard loss and he flings the ball way OB was CLEAR INTENTIONAL GROUNDING!! He was in the pocket backing up and threw it 10 yards OB, and the ref didn't call it! Gave FSU another chance. 3. The final silly wrong call ended up costing FSU, so karma is a beotch, but yet another fierce ND pass rush on the FSU QB clearly was either a FUMBLE, OR ANOTHER INTENTIONAL GROUNDING!! The QB had about 3 Irish guys bringing him down and to me it looked like he dropped the ball as he was hit, so the fumble call was initially correct. Ironically FSU makes the longer FG, but the ref, long AFTER the kick, claims FSU challenged the fumble ruling. So they wipe off the longer FG, and reverse the Fumble call!! and say it WAS AN INCOMPLETE FORWARD PASS!!! YOU'VE GOT TO BE FOCKIN KIDDING ME!! There were NO FSU REC ANYWHERE CLOSE TO THE QB, HE WAS SURROUNDED BY ND DEF LINEMAN. HIS "PASS" WAS 2 YARDS STRAIGHT INTO THE GROUND. IT THUS HAD TO BE INTENTIONAL GROUNDING AGAIN TO AVOID THE SACK!! YET THEY DONT CALL THAT, THEY ACTUALLY CLAIM THAT WAS A LEGIT FOREWORD PASS, MOVING THE BALL UP 15 MORE YARDS FOR A 2ND FG TRY........AND THE FSU KICKER MISSES IT!! LMFAO. THREE COMPLETELY BLATANTLY WRONG CALLS AGAINST ND IN THE LAST FEW CRUCIAL MINUTES. I JUST WANT TO KNOW HOW MUCH UNDER THE TABLE $$$ WERE PAID TO THESE CROOKED REFS?? INCREDIBLE. CROOKED AS THE POLLS IN 1993!!

Excellent breakdown!! Yeah the calls were a mess in this game, I caught this on TV when it aired and was scratchin my head at some of these calls.

@nwproductions5763 What was "lucky" about that 1993 beatdown nutmuffins? There was nothing "lucky" about it. Notre Dame dominated both lines of scrimmage and ran up and down the field on you. ND was more physical. The game was 31-17 until you got a late cosmetic tip pass TD with about 3 min left. THAT was lucky for FSU. How do I know all this? BECAUSE I WAS THERE AND SAW IT UP CLOSE IN PERSON.
