What is the difference between a callback function and HOF (Higher order function ) in JS, cause I found it very similar....

A callback function is a function that is passed as an argument to another function and is executed (called back) after the completion of some operation within the receiving function. The function that receives the callback is not necessarily a higher-order function but uses the callback for specific tasks. A higher-order function (HOF) is a function that either: Takes one or more functions as arguments, or Returns a function as a result. Callback functions are simply functions that are passed as arguments to other functions to be executed later. Higher-order functions (HOFs) are functions that operate on other functions, either by taking them as arguments or by returning them.
