With most corporate computer work stations they are set up to auto log off if there is no activity. A mouse mover will make your PC look like you are on it even when away from it because it will stay logged on. I know people who bought an alarm clock with a second hand, and with a flat face. Took it apart and made the second hand wider with a piece of paper. They coloured the paper red. Now the clock had a wide second hand. When walking away from the computer they simply put the mouse on top of the clock face. The photo unit in the mouse would pick up the second hand and keep the cursor moving around, and thus the computer would never auto log off!
