18 Hole Matchplay at 'The World's Shortest True Links Golf Course'

Welcome to CGgolfs! We're Cam & Georgina, a golfing couple living in St Andrews 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
We are currently looking to complete the Old Tom Morris Trail, which is a collection of 18 Old Tom Morris Designed golf courses throughout Scotland We'll be documenting the trail through KZbin in a series of matchplays, scrambles and mixed tournaments! And with living in St Andrews too, there'll be plenty of other golf content alongside our adventures on the Trail⛳
The first course we ticked off was Cullen Links - the "Shortest True Links in the World". This very well might be the most interesting and quirky golf course we've come across yet, and at only a £40 green fee (or £20 for a current Sunday promo!) we couldn't believe what a hidden gem this was.

hope you get round to playing it soon! it was fab. They were recently doing a promotion to play on Sundays for £20 - however the £40 usual fee is a bargain for what you get!

Wow, what a unique course. Just read about Tom Morris, great story. Now, when he designed that he probably had a few wee drams too many 😁 Looks very tough to play, especially with the greens in that condition. This will be a certain stop for us on next trip. Great idea of you both to start a channel !! Cam must be brave, if I beat Ingrid dinner is not guaranteed...

we loved how unique it was! yes, I think you might be right there 😆 🥃 we paid £40 each per green fee but we saw they’re doing a promotion where you can play it for £20 on Sundays which we thought was insane! a fantastic course at that price for sure. Cam often wins when we play scratch matches so I’ve gotten used to it 😂 just makes it extra special when I do win 🤞🏻 - Georgina

One of my most favourite golf courses and where I learned to golf when I was a young lad on holidays . So much fun to play and you need to shape shots into the wind when it blows. Well-done ⛳👍

The Cullen Bay Hotel used to do a Cullen Skink where the fish was marinated in Spiced Rum for 48 hours, it was amazing. Good luck with your channel 👍 Do you know that Tain is also a Tom Morris course?

@@myoung7654 that sounds incredible! Thankyou :) Yeah; both Tain & Royal Dornoch are on the list! Cam has played both but I’ve only played the two courses at Dornoch so really excited for when we manage to get over there. Our summer is absolutely packed but our next Tom Morris course is due to be Nairn, and we’re hoping to try play a few different courses around it while we’re there too🤩

Played Cullen a few years ago - fabulous! Probably too late now but you should play Spey Bay - tremendous old style links

@CGgolfs We holidayed in the area for a number of years staying at a marvellous village called Gardenstown. Well worth a visit. It's near a place called Pennan which was the setting for the film Local Hero,also nearby is Portsoy the setting for the remake of Whisky Galore.
