It was great to see every whole at West Cornwall. I'll be honest, it's not a course I'd like to play. Reminds me of Perranporth with all the blind shots. God help you when it's windy

This is the best video yet , greens are hard due to dressing them so I wouldn’t worry about your putting. My be instead of using your wedges try using your 9iron and bump and run it ,just my opinion.Well done Neal.👍
@Neal_BigOGolf2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Steve. The greens have been having some work done so yes I know the dressing will affect the the ball. My issue is the ball jumping off the face and bouncing which me and Oggie have noticed for a couple of rounds now with this putter.
@BIGOGGIEGOLF2 жыл бұрын
Plus Steve, Neal can’t do bump and runs lol… he does proper golf shots unlike me ha ha
@robp.77692 жыл бұрын
Neal has a great game with a lot of power and nice finesse around the greens. I think the putting will come around. My suggestion would be to dial down the carry yardages for each wedge and to work on getting a consistent full, 3/4, and 1/2 shot distance with each club. I think this will give Neal the confidence to cash in on his banner drives. Thanks for the great video.
@DavidJones-ko8gp2 жыл бұрын
That looks a tough course to be fair. With regards to the putting, I thought the tiddlers looked a bit shaky and generally thought the longer ones weren't too bad considering the greens were so sandy.
@Neal_BigOGolf2 жыл бұрын
They had done some dressing on the greens but for some reason the ball is jumping off the face of this putter on longer putts. Time for practice.

Driving like frozen rope at times, unlucky bounces at times on the luna surface fairways, amazing coarse very tough, my only suggestion Niel is to only have 2 weetabix next time to stop going over the back. Great video well done to all concerned.
@Neal_BigOGolf2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Paul, the work I've been doing with Chris has been paying off. The 60 wedges going over the back were me thinning it, i never eat more than the 2 weetabix, ive got some timber to loose 🤣. That mat help my game.

Definitely moving in the right direction , thinking you need to revise your yardages although you had many putts your putting pressure on your putts by your approach shots being to far away , then the greens looked to have been cored and dressed…all in all big improvement , I’d say yardages check , Improving approach shots putting less pressure on your putting ..keep up the good work 💪👌🏻

Thanks Gary, recently did a gap session in my irons, out there I found it wasn't bouncing quite as much, and sometimes the short misses are better than the long ones. Do understand what you mean tho. Plus was trying a different ball (which I won't be keeping in the bag)

Good effort Neil, still early in the season, and the greens didn't look too good. Do you think filming or YT effects your game? My question is do you play different shots when filming to 'entertain' 😉
@BIGOGGIEGOLF2 жыл бұрын
Ooo interesting question Colin. Do we play different shots to entertain ha ha. Blimey I wish we were that good lol as for the greens, West Cornwall have had a number of issues with their greens since first lockdown but I believe they have just invested massively in a new irrigation system so are actually better than when I last saw them.
@Neal_BigOGolf2 жыл бұрын
That is a good question. I think when filming a normal course vlog you do go for the hero shots or the big booming drives to entertain. However I plot my way around West cornwall moreso. Irons off a lot of par 4 tees. Still very early yes, looking forward to the season really starting 😉

Ho John It’s my birthday soon and thinking of playing West Cornwall, I’m very much like you and hack around 🙂 what’s the best tips etc foe playing here. Thanks Dave
@BIGOGGIEGOLF2 жыл бұрын
Wow that’s a big question… lol if you can do play with someone who knows the course a little. Also the front nine is very tight. And the back nine more expansive… Be careful on hole 4 and hole 8 as they are parallel with each other and they are a blind hill across them, so people often end up in the firing line from both directions. Everything slopes to the sea so your ball will naturally bounce that way… The greens are improving but will be fast… And if you are in the rough, which can be serious, don’t let it fool you and just get out shirt and safe. Trying to do too much will only pull you back into it far worse… Oh and the bunkers are very deep except on hole 4 around the green where they are shallow.
