Hey, that's us! I'm really happy that our happi project was not only successful within our Discord, but got complimented by so many people we've met at EXPO and even the talents themselves! A huge thank you for everyone responsible for making it happen ❤

I was over the moon when Mio saw our post about the happis. This project was coordinated and run by the overseas MioFa discord server. We distributed the happis to everyone who was going to EXPO/5th fes, the turn out was _so much more than I expected!_ It was an unforgettable memory meeting everyone and getting to cheer for Mio on-site at stage 2 in our happis. I had so many MioFa (overseas and JP) asking to get one for next year/concert as well! They don't call Subaru the _Sun of hololive_ for nothing, she really does see all lmao. Mio's right, there's _dozens_ of Sexy Mion advocates among us lol. (because let's be real, who isn't one) I hope we get to do many more projects like this in the future, especially for Mio's sololive!! Thank you for the clip! ❤

That's so cool, its cool seeing all these groups come together for things. I think vtubers are cool like this - they allow people to express and manifest their creativity in such a unique way. I hope I can someday witness something like this.

It's awesome to see Mio notice the overseas MioFa again, and with unique happi coats this time! The Mio happi coats look really good; the artist knew the assignment when 50% of the art is made up of Mio's legs. There's a lot of demand for merch like this. As an overseas MioFa who couldn't go, I really want one too!

In the West here, people tend to be, for a lack of a better word, puritans. Not in the sense of "sex bad", but in the sense of if you think something is cute, or hot, or sexy, then you're seeing as "objectifying" the thing, which isn't really what's happening. Peoples' creativity gets stifled, until they find a place where they can make their art. And when they can, they can show the beauty of the thing they love in such an amazing way. TL:DR: great job as always with the fan merch fellow kaigai nikis. Thanks for helping fuel this community both for us, and for the talents we love.

Terminally online weirdos and people with grift professions in corporate HR or media get "puritan". Normal people generally don't. People will look at you funny for wearing a weird anime coat, but not because Mio has "scandalous" bare legs on it. It'd have to be considerably more tasteless than this Happi to get that kind of reaction from normal people.

There's a fine line between celebrating beauty and feeding lustful urges. The West, being mostly materialistic and pragmatic, has largely adopted the latter interpretation. Even the more spiritual individuals do the same, as they're mostly Christians (rather than, say, Taoists, who would be more in touch with their animalistic side). To appreciate the artistic merits of a depicted naked body, one should look pass the carnal aspect of it (acknowledge and compartmentalize), something a casual Western eye tends to get hung up on.

@@ariadame102 That isn't exactly true with Christians. For sure, modern corrupted pseudo-Christianity can't make that distinction. But look at a lot of classical Christian art. The Sistine Chapel for example. God made His world beautiful. Us most of all. The beauty of the spirit is what is most celebrated, but that does not mean His creation's beauty must be ignored.

I'd say it's more a U.S problem than a West one. It feels super weird from a Eueopean pov how any hint of nudity is the end of the world on the other side of that big pond. To the point US 'feminism', at least in social media, is becoming quite similar to machism nowadays, trying to hide sexual depictions of women and 'teaching' them to be more reserved when it was the main fight of feminists to show that women had the right to have a free love life and to be sexy. Anyway, gonna love how dedicated these Miofas are.
