Not having a hangover is nice but having a life worth living is even nicer! I’m freakin grateful to have gotten past that but I will never forget the pain my drinking put me in and people around me. Not bc I’m holding onto it but bc it’s humbling and empowering to know what can be overcome.

After i complete my class do i just go to the DMV and get my license back? And also im paying for sr22 and the lady at the dmv said i have to pay for it for a whole year when my class was only 3 months so i was confuse for a sec

Are you in California? Yeah you’ll want to check with the dmv and find out what you need. I had to pay for an sr22 for two years and I didn’t even have my license the whole time they just needed me to pay for it. No idea how that works lol.

Actually, the place I went did have all spanish groups. but I'm in California so its a bit more common. There are all spanish AA meetings too. I would check at the main place the court sends you and ask if they have spanish only groups.

Yes I received my license and didn't need to retake the test i only payed off the reinstatement fee so now im trying to go for my commercial trucking license

@@DDBAMBAM87 call they will need your DOC # or court order and you must put down 275$ in advance mine was 650 i believe then they will send you a schedule through email to sign into zoom for the class it will show alot of other ppl who will be in class with you it's simple just answer the random questions when it's your turn to talk everyone will take part in it but yea I'm glad to have my license back in now I need a car lol but I'm still working on it going for my commercials truck license

I have a 18 month program is well. My last class is this month December 28th. Did you need a interlock after you completed the program or only need the sr22?

I didn’t but there were some people in my program who did. It’s best to check with the dmv for their requirements bc literally it seemed like everyone had a different type of thing according to their case but yeah definitely needed sr22

Hi, quick question. My bf got his third dui a couple of weeks ago. But he wasn’t even in the car when the officer pulled up, the officer told him he was just going to take him to detox just to say that detox is full so he went and ahead and got him with a dui and my bf had to spend the night in jail. He doesn’t want to do jail time when it comes to court, he thinks he will fight the case so he doesn’t have to do jail time. What do you think about this? Considering you have had 3 duis

I fought my case and ended up with house arrest bc duis are pretty black/white and it was expensive and I ended up drinking and driving again anyway. So it didn’t work for me! Haha. Did he end up doing jail time?

Yeah idk how they do the billing bc when it came down to me being done, I thought I still owed money and they were like “you already paid for all these when we charged you for missing group” so it all worked out in the end but then again I missed A LOT.
