Another feature they announced and you may have missed is: When zoomed in less enemy NPC's will attack. Where as if you zoom out, you see more enemies and they WILL attack.

@@BmoreGaming I did see in a video something about the games AI. It was updated because of widescreen. It was edited so enemies could see you on a 16:9 monitor. So they might have made it so the AI just knows if you can see the enemy on screen and if so they seek and attack you. If so then zoom might effect AI acquisition behavior. Even if not actually intended. It would make sense to attach the value for AI acquisition to screen zoom/visibility because this would fix it for other aspect rations like 21:9 or 32:9 as well. If you can see the enemy it can see you type situation. We will find out before the end of the year one way or the other.

Sadly its not even really Blizz doing any of this its Vicarious Visions that they hired outside of the company to come and and do the remaster.. I am sure Diablo devs have assisted them but, Vicarious Visions HAS DONE VERY well already on their other remasters like Crash Bandicoot and Tony Hawk which is why I am super hyped for this.. One thing I found strange and inconvenient in diablo 2 was when stats were boosted it didn't display what the base stat was.

It does if you use Plug Y. The added stats feature page and the IAS and FCR breakpoints for your char and mercenaries are also able to be viewed via some arrows at the bottom of the char stat screen. What I like best about it though is the ability to redistribute your stat points at any time by holding the Alt key to reduce stats in order to free up points to use elsewhere. Also you can wipe your skill points and respec at any time as well ;-)

@@Despond Being able to play d2 with better overall gameplay, graphics, etc... it could be insane. They gotta nail the pvp though. If they don't get the bugs out and advantages created from bugs, it'll ruin it. I know there will be a lot going into bot prevention and stuff, so we will see! A real good idea would be path of exiles idea for more open options in trading. Create a real trading post either in Bnet or link from bnet app that brings you to selections. I know there will be real money used still via jsp or w/e, but poe really has success with that system. It would allow you to trade via games normally still as well.

Yeah, only reason anni's were so common on bnet was because of dupes and other manipulation. If they buckle down on that stuff, which they should, then anni's will be worth 100 hrs. I would have liked to see drop rate increases. Without bots a lot of common things will be worth multiple hrs and everyone basically has to start a sorc every ladder because unlike the mods, there is like 3 viable characters for end game.

You can already do that in Diablo 2. You get three free respecs from Akara in Normal, Nightmare and Hell. You can also get essences from some of the Act bosses that can be used to respec your characters.

The only reason i used to play ladder was because Mf run in non ladder aren't as lucrative since the most expensive items are ladder only. Ladder will force you to make a Sorceress from scratch every 3 months and have tons of leftovers Sorceress and gear items at the end of each season pretty dumb :( Ladder would require a 2x loot drop or something or ladder items being able to drop in non ladder from now on.

All of these features were 100% necessary and totally awesome. I am now officially pumped for this game. My favorite inclusions are the zoom, shared stash, and the change in character expiration. One of the biggest things that bothered me about Diablo 2 was that when I would take a break from the game I would come back with all my characters gone, really made me not want to bother starting over and made me feel like I was wasting my time.

You REAAALLLY had to grind to get 99 even doing solo Nihl & Diablo and topping Baal. It would take 8-12 weeks doing 100+ runs a day to 99 after a new reset. Without botting it is a massive commitment to get 99. If they make it 3-4 months per reset and it takes as long to gain the same amount of exp as D2 originally had... 99 for legit players on ladder is pretty much impossible if you work full time or have any life whatsoever. That's 2-3 months of only playing one character and grinding the hell out of it. You wouldn't be able to build multiple chars like you said. I agree, 6 months is the right length.

1 year for grinding ladder Item was ok for me , we are not all Jobless or playing only one game... I remember Blizzard's poll about ladder lenght : as many commented, bot shopper won...It privilegiated them.

Imo the single biggest mistake of d2 was dmg immunity enemies...especially playing using only certain dmg types...like Sorc

Also Many people play d2 solo...I mean to PLAY for HOUR AND HOURS and come across an enemy YOU CANT kill because its IMMUNE to dmg? really? That is Pretty SHITTY...AND THE SINGLE CHARACTER IT AFFECTS MOST...SORCERESS...NO OTHER CHARACTER...so yea id say Id have a hard time Defending this...especially I lived during d2s hayday and well the internet was not as big as it is today...IF in this remaster we geta way to reset skills...its Not AS big a deal, but I mean still it fucks one character way more than others...Imagine if there was PHYSICAL IMMUNE? lol you must have never played diablo2 from the beginning.There werent just a bunch of free loot games cause mf bots didnt exist.The scraps your going to give away are stuff everyone finds.If you want to play god you would have to be giving away good items.I guess Ill put it like this.When diablo2 wasnt infected with bots and item sites(which never existed til the game got bots) having a simple Shako would consider you a rich player.This is when the game was actually good and all these scrap items actually had some type of value,cause you had to actually go and find the items yourself lol.Or in another way if you wanted to buy a Windforce...you had to go on ebay and pay 40 bucks for it.After patch 1.10 they increased item drops significantly..basically ruined the game

Great move by Blizzard to add zoom-in feature. This will surely bring some PoE players, it'll allow them to zoom-in enough to not see much and feel at home !

They should consider making the AI for summons, traps and hydras etc. smarter so they do not attack enemies that are immune to their attacks/element. This would reduce /avoid some of the performance problems that could occur. Simple fix. Big improvement

Ah good ol' days when you had characters like "MULE01, MULE02" and so on. Sometimes you would create a private game to transfer stuff and then... internet would disconnect. Your hands got sweaty, the adrenaline trying to reconnect before your precious cargo went to a limbo... only to discover that the ISP was the real problem and then you would enter a spiral of disbelief and freak out, crying yourself to sleep.
