OK u made one mistake in this test the eminence is seal back so its like its in an enclosure and the 18 sounds is just free air But great video

The 18 sound have a higher frequency but the eminence alpha have wider range as a commenter say the alpha is in a seal frame and the 18 sound is in open air so you need to test them in a box next time thank you

Thank you for your truthful & honest response. Oh for sure will do next time. And with that said, just my opinion, i played the both in the speaker pod and the 18sound went super loud with much more power from the t800.4 rockford the eminence played great with the wider frequency totally agree but fail on receiving power. Thats just my humble take on the differences between the two.

Well, there are alot of brands outthere that's very loud for example, Down 4 sound midrange is loud. You got to do some research and demo listening of speakers that's on KZbin or go to car shows & vehicle sound off to see and hear whats the brands that's making a great impression in the car audio industry

If it was mine, i would have repaired them with the original coil. The replacement coil would not sound the same as an original 18 sound speaker

With all being said eminence is a budget speaker and can be compare to speakers that is above the price ...i uses eminence speakers from mids to subs which is the Omega pro 18a & 15a those speakers are well tune no matter what amp u used ...closing this comment ill say 18sound is weak cant handle pressure it burns fast

I would say 18 sound is better but I am a person that can't afford those kind of speakers so I hv eminence they don't take a lot of power either
