The EPA Water Conference 2024 took place on 12 and 13 June, in Galway and online. Speakers shared their knowledge on how to protect & improve water quality in Ireland and showcased case studies from around Ireland.
Speaker: Dr Elvira de Eyto, Marine Institute
Dr Elvira de Eyto studied Zoology at TCD and carried out postgraduate and postdoctoral work on the ecological quality of Irish and European lakes, and the immunogenetics of salmonids. Since 2003, she has worked in the Marine Institute in Newport, Co. Mayo, primarily on the long term aquatic monitoring of the Burrishoole catchment, and related research projects.
