18" Vibrant resonator before and after

THANK YOU FOR UPLOADING THIS. Recently just upgraded my front pipe to a dual resonated FP paired with a Tomei UEL. I plan on deleting the muffler but know that the FR-S usually has lots of rasp. Now I plan on adding this resonator to tone down the rasp and focus on the lower tones.

Welp. It's gonna change again very soon in a major way. The engine sounds as smooth as a 30s diesel tractor now. So I am doing the most logical thing you can do in that situation. Throw out the fa20 and put in a k24. Expect vids in a few weeks of the progress and results.

100% improvement with the resonators, but that catback is still fairly raspy. The tone is deeper now, too....

I agree! I am totally fine with the level of rasp it has now honestly. Something to keep in mind is that the microphone was right "in the line of fire" it does sound a little different in a fly by. sounds a lot more mature now.

Yes, its a bottle style. Also yes, cabin volume was reduced. It actually cut down the sound a lot more than i expected. In order to enjoy music before it, i had to have it cranked up to 60-70% to hear it over the exhaust. Now its back to normal and i can hear music and have conversations normally. Its acutally a little quieter than id like now, but It gets regular compliments and is less obnoxious than it was so ill prob stick with it or maybe eventually do something with the overpipe and front pipe.

I believe i bought it off of summit racing. Its a 18" Bottle style resonator and the brand is vibrant

I think the part # you need is VPE-1793 but check what you have and need before buying it, make sure you have a 2.5" exhaust for this one. Also, you will need someone who can weld stainless steel, and not all shops will so make sure you have someone to install it.

@@XxTheIOSGAMERxX it has to be the bottle style one i listed, i actually bought the UQ one first and it was too large for the space. And no, im not 100% sure what the stock piping diameter is, for some reason i assumed you had a catback which is why I listed what i listed. I did a google search and someone said it was 2.25" so if that is accurate you will want VPE-1791

I don't believe it will fit this car. I bought one first and it was too fat for the space it would have to go in. Your exhaust may be different though

Was there drone before? Did the resonator get rid of the drone? How has the resonator held up to time? Any change?

lots of drone before the resonator, much less after it was installed. Its held up fine, its on my friends car now and he daily drives with it and the jdl that was on this car also. After the engine swap he got my whole exhaust basically 🤣🤣

it did, it was unresonated before so after adding it the difference was huge.
