I emailed Betty to offer her a safe place to stay in Tucson along with resources, showers, meals, everything for free. I am a young woman who is a former child of the system and it took me way too many years to find the proper support. I think that the community members could rally behind people more like Betty who need judgment free support, patience, and time to work through a lifetime of trauma.

Why aren’t there tiny homes being built for people like Betty? Some cities are doing that & each person is required to spend at least 50 hrs building their own home with the builders. Then the rent is only $250 month. They then have a safe place to live & sleep. Their little community has a laundry facility, etc. This would solve so many problems & give the ones who really want help & to live a better life, a real life.

Some people I feel worse for than others and she’s one of those people. I hope and pray she gets the help she needs. We need places that people could go to to eat even if they don’t get shelter we could fix these problems. Does anyone have an idea where 90% of the drugs come from? Take a really good guess. We are the only major country in the world with open borders. Let that sink in I was watching the documentary on spies and the reason Russia is so hard to infiltrate it, because they know every person in and out of their country. The United States has so many ways to get in. They said we are crawling with spies from almost every country. besides spies, they are bringing everything else into this country. People were upset about building a wall do those same people not locked their doors at night. You would think the most important thing the government has is to protect its citizens and what they are doing right now is a crime. unfortunately this poor girl is feeling the brunt force of an incompetent country. Do you want to fix these problems close our borders and start arresting drug dealers and put them away for a long time let’s start treating criminals like the Middle East countries. And I’m not saying no more immigrants. Heck, I’m an Italian American but my great great grandparents needed a sponsor proof of employment and proof of living arrangements. And when we finally made it in this country, we were really proud to be Americans. We learned the language we flew the flag with our flag. Look at the people coming into this country now they make no point of learning the language, and they definitely do not like this country (I’m sure there’s exceptions to this, but not many). You very rarely will see one waving the American flag. and before somebody says, I just don’t like certain people that’s BS I was born and raised in the Bronx New York literally the only white kid in my schools up until high school all my best friends and business partners are people from everywhere like the United Nations, and I even have brother-in-law, who was an illegal alien from Mexico at one point. He agrees that something needs to be done to protect him and his family now. I’m going to have a talk with him on my channel someday next week you should check it out. He explains how he got into this country and why he came here how much it cost to get here And why he knows it needs to stop to protect his own children now.

May God heal her from any trauma others inflicted on her, may she heal with the peace of Jesus that passes understanding and be comforted by the only Holy Spirit of God and directed by God’s holy angels into safety and away from those who would mean her harm. May she forgive by handing people over to God’s judgment and not be tormented by trying to solve problems according to the sinful ways of this broken world. May she rise above and learn her identity in Christ as a child of God a princess of the Lord. I managed a restaurant for years and hired several homeless people or people in halfway houses. It was about 50/50 whether they worked out or not. If they showed up to an interview trying like she mentioned she did at Jack in the Box I would have had an honest conversation with her about hygiene expectations and ask what she needed provided at the job to clean up on arrival. I did this several times and the ones that consistently showed up? They only needed that initial leg up and chance. It was incredible to see them get their own place then car. Getting a car only happened to maybe 3 of them. By the time they could save enough for that they were usually on to a better job by then. It was extremely fulfilling for me. I felt like a proud mama in most cases. I always figured the ones who didn’t show up or gave up? That was their decision. Not a loss for me. A loss for them. And idk how really but I could read sincerity during an interview as well as if they were on drugs. So ofc that came into my hiring decision. But this girl? I would have hired her. And would have loved to see her shine. And before she left she would have been fed too. Anything she wanted. And until her first paycheck I would give her a uniform shirt and bring her a pair of pants even if I had to buy them myself. Sometimes people just need HELP. And I am NOT tooting my horn. At all. I’m only commenting and saying this because I honestly wish there were more companies who allowed managers to use their full discretion when hiring. Sometimes like of ID or criminal record can also hold people back. In those cases there wasn’t anything I could do. I could suggest and offer resources but I always wished I could do more. A lot of times companies do hire people with records. As long as the charges don’t involve violence or theft. And a lot of times homeless people do have theft charges. That doesn’t mean they will steal from their job. Obviously if they are trying to work they are trying to better themselves but that’s an obstacle they also face. Idk. I just felt like commenting about this. Don’t have any point really. Oh and I am in Tucson but no longer manage restaurants

Why would you block someone for offering to help your daughter and asking for updates? I also saw online that Betty has a warrant for her arrest because she did not show up for her court date. Therefore, the updates on the Go Fund Me don’t seem accurate! Her mom states she has an apartment etc, but the last address listed for Betty on the court papers are for the homeless shelter downtown? It is tragic to see this lady, but there are always two sides to the story false allegations etc. Please keep an open mind. The tragedy is this lady is in dire need of support that breaks my heart she is in this stage. It is not acceptable people are left like this, being in the care system gives them attachment disorders for example, difficult for them to connect with anyone because of trust issues.

She threatens that if her drug addict boyfriends are not welcome she will take the kids and hitchhike across the country and my mom will never see them again. She talks to people just like this girl does even saying she was abandoned as a child which she was not she was spoiled with 2 horses and never once left without a place to stay but she would disappear for weeks on meth binges. I am not saying this girl is that but I stopped helping my sister after she accused a man of beating and raping her when I was active duty in the Army so I hurt the dude really bad but she was just pissed at him for calling a 1 900 number on their shared phone. There's was actually a lady that said she was going to find her and bring her back to her house to stay where she could eat, bathe, and the last is going to help her get her life together being she'd been in the system as well and knew the heartache. Maybe you could help that lady with the means to help this young lady. She truly deserves help and support. God bless you for wanting to help all the way from Australia.

Betty is brilliant. It saddens to see how perturbed she is because of this situation. She doesn’t deserve this.

This is someone that needs to be saved! Everyday that she's out there is just so destructive, she needs proper guidance and assistance from an adult to function on her own. Hope she gets that help sooner than later!

Thanks for interviewing Betty. Wow, tor someone that been thru what some may characterize as a challenging life, when on film, Betty doesn't display ' bitterness or scorn. What she's displaying is a fair amount of self awareness, emotional intelligence and resilience.

This just had me in tears. I have an 18 year old daughter and seeing Betty tell her story is so heartbreaking. Lost in the system is a story you hear much to often. I hope she is able to find the resources needed to help her out of her situation. She’s still so young, with the proper guidance and help I’m sure she can completely transform her situation. God bless you Betty, positive vibes sent your way ✨

Watching as she walked away waving was really.hard. She's so young, and as a grandmother, I want to hold and protect her. I pray she gets the break she needs to have a decent chance at life. We all deserve that.

What a sweet soul. I can see the immense pain in her eyes. All she needs is 1 person to be there for her and lift her up. Someone trustworthy with a good heart. She seemed so sweet waving at the end. She is not far gone. I see hope for her. Please keep us updated with her. I would love to see how she is doing. Thanks for sharing her story.

I wonder what mental health issues she has and if she has any substance abuse problems. She definitely needs someone to care for her and help guide her.
