throughout the 90s it was quite shameful for pop artists and pop bands to seem as if they had people controlling them from behind the scenes. from Spice Girls, To All Saints, BWitched, Brittany, Christina, TLC etc.. the story was always the same with all of them. we write our own music, we choose our own style, we dress how we like etc..

Love her comment about merging a Madonna kind of a career with a Whitney kind of a career, because I feel like that's exactly what Xtina has done over the past 15 years, and why she is unlike any other recording artist out there. Vocalists like her (Whitney, Celine, Mariah) always play it so safe and stay in their comfort zone and tend to repeat themselves. Xtina has taken many many huge risks for the sake of exploring different musical landscapes. It might not always land her at the top of the charts, but it always results in amazing music, IMO, and you gotta respect her fearlessness and creative, adventurous spirit. A pop album, an R&B album, a jazz album, an electronica album. This girl has so much versatility, she makes for one hell of a fierce, sexy pop star, and she just so happens to have one of the most incredible voices ever on top of it. Oh, and she also writes, produces, and is very hands on in all aspects of her career. Long story short: this girl is F'ing awesome. People need to stop with their knee-jerk hatred towards her and actually give her work a chance. I think they'd be pleasantly surprised by what they find.

Annnnnddddddd that's exactly what she did... Her vocals have influenced numerous number of new vocalists such as Ariana and Demi. Her artistry and versatility is so hugely respected and still influences young people like Kylie to dress up like her for Halloween. She is beyond amazing: always takes risks, never plays it easy. I love Britney and she may have sold more but her versatility, vocal range, artistry and longevity of songs and lyrics can't be comparable to Christina.

Well if you followed her at all growing up ud know that she wanted to do both its why she started out dancing and singing but she struggled so much to sing because of her dance moves, her voice was so strong and she was a live singer so it was awful hitting the notes she wanted to the right way. She ended up not dancing as much like the way she started out anymore so she could focus more on her vocals. She still put dancing in her music she just did it a different way and still not all the time...she danced in dirrty in a sexy kind of way and also ain't no other man..candy man was probably her last if I'm not mistaken. She only added dancing in here n there but the vocal range was her ability so that's wat was more important to her. 🙂
