Do they still blow on the conk shells when a fresh catch has been made? They have open markets at Portsmouth or at least they did. I am sure though a lot has changed since I was there! Would love to return except I don't think I could stand to see the tramcars running.........I so miss the fresh fruit there, also!

Keasha On The Streets I've noticed some similarities between the speech and pronunciation of the Trini and Dominican accent, that's really interesting! Have you ever noticed or know anybody who's ever brought that up before?

@@pseudoname3159 the similarities come from back when people from dominica, guadeloupe, grenada, and martinique were migrated to trinidad to populate the island because no one was living on it back when it was owned by the Spaniards. You can look up the Cedula of population and read about it.
