If you're not a fan of the VERY forward "peppery" taste, let it sit in your mouth a little. Don't swish it and don't knock it back. It's not whiskey that tolerates different drinking methods. Take a small sip, let it sit in your mouth, let the pepper forward "evaporate" (idk how else to describe it), and then the flavors EMERGE!
