Yet, here are fans screaming... completely disrespecting the sincerity of the moment. If people were to care even a little bit.... It hurts because I'm trying to understand. I was watching live and got kinda irritated when all you could hear was screaming as she's talking about losing a friend and the importance of the mental and physical health of her fellow idols that should really be taken more seriously😪

i think that they should've thought about the fans who'd scream, BUT she was talking about them (the artists) and how they have feelings too and that it's hard for them to mourn jonghyun since they all have busy schedules. the camera was trying to pan over them as "examples" but some fans just couldn't keep their mouth shut. it's like they weren't even listening to IU giving her whole "idols are humans too" spiel

I know right! They could have been respectful. Actually it's not the cameraman's fault since the speech was dedicated also to the artists they might have panned the camera to their direction. However the fans could have been patient and waited for IU to express her sentiments, should have given her a moment of silence. It's kind of disrespectful.

this is why IU deserves to be respected and looked up to. she won an award but she took her time to mention Jonghyun, who she was also close to. not only that but she mentioned mental health and how important it is for the idols to prioritize themselves and their health. it's so nice that she said those words to those idols bc they probably don't hear those words often as depression is looked over as "not a big deal" in korea. those idols needed to hear those words and i truly hope they listened to her carefully and took her words to heart.

i think BTS definitely took IU words to heart, you can see they were applauding her speech for a while and jimin continued to applaud even when she was finished with her speech. i'm glad jungkook looks up to IU, she's a very talented singer and also so well spoken

Why he was in such pain and suffered so much, i think i partly understand , it is not an emotion that I’m completely unfamiliar with. I’m still very sad and apologetic to him. 내 가수가 소중하듯 다른 가수도 소중한 거 알아주셨으면 좋겠습니다. 유애나는 오늘부로 아이유가 대상을 받고 소감을 얘기하는 자랑스러운 영상을 자주 찾아볼텐데 그때마다 소감 얘기할때 물려서 들리는 다른 팬분들의 환호성, 아이유가 대상 소감말하는데 타팬분들이 그만하라고 외쳐서 아이유가 소감 중간중간 계속 더해도 되냐고 허락맡는 모습, 앵콜 때 타팬들이 자기 가수 이름 외치는 소리 때문에 묻히는 아이유 목소리.. 이런것들이 많이 걸릴 것같습니다. 유애나로써 아이유에게 주어진 시간 오롯이 아이유만이 다 즐겼으면 했는데 너무 아쉽습니다. 타팬분들 자기 가수가 소중한만큼 아이유도 유애나에겐 전부고 가장 소중한 존재입니다. 제발 남의 가수라고 집중안하고 그런 모습은 이제부터라도 반성하시고 성숙한 팬문화 보여주셨으면 좋겠습니다..

Fans really need to be reminded of proper decorum. Regardless of who was speaking then, you can tell that even the director acknowledged the weight of what IU was talking about then that they turned off the BGM. The moment was supposed to be a serene one in remembrance of a person the whole industry lost yet people only focused on their biases and wasn't even able to tell that the hall was made quiet during IU's speech for a reason. Damn.

What a beautiful speech from IU!!! This was less than a month after Jonghyun died and to stand up there and talk about him must have been tough. I applaud her for taking the opportunity to tell all the artists that they are people first and to take care of themselves. We all agree the fans were very rude and inappropriate. We get that you love your stars, but one of the ironies is that around this time or some time after, BTS talked about disbanding because of the pressures of being idols. Maybe fans need to think about this more often when they're so busy showing their love.

진짜 소름이 돋는다. 나는 종현씨 소식 듣고 방탄소년단이 장례식장 올라가는 모습 보면서 '무슨 생각일까?아예 이해할 수 없는 감정은 아닐텐데...같은 일을 하는 사람으로써 아이돌이라는 직업에 대해서 얼마나 회의감이 들었을까?얼마나 마음이 아프고 무거웠을까?' 이런 심정이었는데..좋아하는 아이돌 비춘다고 환호성 지르는 모습을 보면서 아이돌로써 얼마나 소름이 돋았을까?..

I am really disappointed & really pissed w some of those fans who scream when wanna one , winner, btob & bts (eventhough i myself an army here)appear on the screen while iu giving her speech about jonghyun. Someone that is still sad over his passed. Why can't they just shut up for awhile & listen to iu speech? Even bts & other idols are still sad & they can't even be bothered when they appear on the screen. These fans need to know the meaning of RESPECT, respect when someone giving her speech especially when she lose her own good friend last year, IN THE MIDDLE OF DEC and if taeyeon or any other artists that gonna attend at seoul music awards, if they gonna give their speech about jonghyun, kfans need to behave themselves & reflect about what happen last night.

저도 한 명의 아미로서... 이번 행동은 많이 반성할만한 행동이라 생각합니다. 현장이 아닌곳에서 바라보고 있었지만 절로 눈쌀이 찌푸려지더군요... 누가 상을 받던 상을 받는 사람을 존중해줘야 합니다. 내가 아끼는 사람이라고, 응원한다고 그렇게 표현하는 것도 상황에 맞게 해야겠죠. 특히나 이번 수상소감때는 정말...그렇네요.. 소리지르신 분들은 반성하시고 이런일 어떤 아티스트와 팬분들에게나.. 제발 없었으면 좋겠습니다.
