Blew my mind when I walked into the shed and heard this incredible arrangement blasting away. Fantastic and for a moment there had me thinking it was the most amazing thing I'd heard on a fairground organ.

@@Mekanixmuzak I would like to know how you do that! Meanwhile I found your video about the impressive and time consuming making process. Thank you.

The funniest part is that, much though the manufacturers attempted to hide all of the "boring" workings behind a pretty facade, it really made the machine boring to look at rather than enhancing it. (At least in my opinion). All of those whirling, sliding, pumping, drumming, moving bits and pieces out the back are what make it truly interesting. 😌😃 All the same, it's quite interesting to hear what a relatively limited device like this can make of a complicated piece of music such as the 1812 Overture, and over-all it seems to do quite well. My compliments go to the manufacturers, the people who modified and maintain the machine, and to whomever took the time and trouble to transcribe the music so it could play on this machine.

Further to melkiorwiseman5234's comment, is there a back-of-the-machine video of this piece being played?

You are quite right about the visibility of the workings. I normally film from the inside by where the card goes through the keyframe See any of my other posts. I actually arranged and cut this book. It took a hell of a long time. Thanx for your comments.

Too close to the diesel generator! Which means the background sound interfere with our ability to hear the Marenghi!

No diesel Genny, but a very noisy blower. Beggars can't be choosers as to the environment in which the instruments is playing. One just has to shut out the background noise like one does when listening to scratchy 78 r.p.m. records. We are all used to a hermetically sealed environment when listening to music. This is a real field performance in the raw... Get used to it!!!
