I think it’s part of their tradition. I heard somewhere that in Korea, they scream for their idols and stay silent with international ones because they want to be respectful to other countries. I’m not too sure but that’s what I predict. Perhaps they wanted to not scream so that the speaker could say their speech loudly while letting everyone hear what they’re saying.

She's a great singer and dancer who had lots of hit songs but her career was derailed a bit by an incident in the Super Bowl 38 halftime show when Justin Timberlake ripped off part of her top during the performance revealing her right breast with a nipple cover on and a bunch of people blamed her for the wardrobe malfunction or accused her of doing it on purpose and turned on her (meanwhile Justin's career did not suffer). She was uninvited to the Grammy awards while Justin was not just invited but also performed. Justin's apology consisted of telling Access Hollywood he loves giving them something to talk about while Janet made an apology video and released a statement explaining what happened saying sorry to anyone offended. Despite this, lots of angry conservative parents called into radio stations to get her off the air (but not Justin Timberlake).
