@@reverendtfg6802 Actually, comments DO help a video, when it comes to the KZbin algorithm! each comment is a very small thing alone, but the amount of comments is taken into account as part of viewer engagement, along with total view time, likes and dislikes. (of course, likes, view time, and comments help a video, while dislikes hinder a video) If you've got anything to say to the contrary, i would like to see it backed up by even one statement from anyone who verifiably works for KZbin, as opposed to an unproven, incorrect "no, it doesn't."

Howdy. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I hadn't watched your channel for a couple of years; but I remembered that I learned a LOT of my lock picking skills from you - when I was maturing into my rent home property management business. This year, without a lot of evictions to do, I haven't had to pick as many locks; maybe 2 or so, a month (Lost keys, Renter Abandonments, etc.). - However, I still have all of the tools you recommended and I can still make the tension tool turn most locks after setting the pins. With evictions likely starting again; I'm probably needing to brush up on the latest residential lock non-destructive entry techniques. Renters are getting real bad about installing their own locks and throwing our move-in Kwikset locks into the trash. - Good luck in the coming year! -

@@johndododoe1411 Hi, my question doesn't really apply to curtained locks, however if the lock unlocks clockwise then generaly these are tensioned from the back, I've just not seen a lever lock picked from the other side, (tensioning from the front), in the case of a curtained how do you get to the last lever the tensioner will be in the way? I'm just curious
@johndododoe14114 жыл бұрын
@@shadow-cast In this model, the curtain itself was the tensioner. Without that feature, tension tool needs to let the picking wire go through a hole behind the front tensioner.
@shadow-cast4 жыл бұрын
@@johndododoe1411 I'm sorry but I think your missing the point, my question doesn't apply to curtained lever locks, if you have a lever lock that needs front tension, how do you get the wire behind the tensioner, if you put the wire in the key hole first the shaft of the tensioner wouldn't fit, every demonstration i have seen has been rear tensioned, I'm just asking for a demonstration of a front tensioned (non curtained) lever lock,. As a mechanical engineer I can see how it could be done with a custom (hollow) tensioner, but not with the standard type of tensioners (or cut down old key), thanks in advance and happy Xmas.

What is the difference between warded and lever lock? is there a difference?
@dlevi674 жыл бұрын
Yes. In a warded lock the only thing preventing the lock from turning is a set of shaped wards that prevent the wrong key from getting into the opening and/or turning; nothing "moves" inside the lock other than the bolt, so if you have something sufficiently thin to pass through the warding elements and grab the bolt, you can move it. A lever lock makes manipulation of this type impossible: unless the lever gates are all in the right position, the bolt will not slide.
@johnny06284 жыл бұрын
That's a thrower and not a curtain. A curtain doesn't drive the lock bolt via a talon cut.
@JimmyC4 жыл бұрын
Usually in jail will use this type of lock
