Sir Garnet Worseley had some soldiers come from as far as the caribbeans, India, Hausas from Nigeria, the Sierra Leone and other places as he had said . But the war led to the establishment of Koforidua in 1875 in the Eastern Region. Because it was given to the Juaben's as a reward for their role played in assisting the war.But you cant blame them because they didnt receive fair treatment from Kumasi.

Battle of Amoafu was one of the important battles the Asante Army had to stage as the allied forces were now marching towards Kumasi. The invincible army which was known to go to war in other people’s kingdoms and return with a pile of human heads, human jaw bones, loot, and slaves to be sacrificed and some sold were for the first time seeing a British and coastal tribes army knocking on the doors of Kumasi. Luckily for them this army wasn’t coming for human heads jawbones or slaves for sacrifices. They just wanted the harassment to stop. The Asante army had been on Fante territory for almost a year and had not accomplished it goal of killing every Fante alive and had to return to re-strategize but were shocked to see the allies marching on after them.

Please the war had nothing to do with the Fantis. The only part that the Fantis played were that they were uesd by the British to achieve their own national interests. Ashanties have never sought to nnihilate Fantis, you were just uesd as punks by the British. Get lost!.
