Lord God in heaven. That thing is shoulder artillery. I love your channel and am wanting a Model 1886 in either .45-90 or a .50-110 . Was thinking the.45 caliber brass might be easier to find, but the.50-110 has got a lot of appeal. And now you’ve done gone and got a .70 caliber! Think I could have handled it 10 years ago, but I don’t think my 65 year old shoulder would last with that cannon. Keep up the great work!
@loquat44-4011 ай бұрын
Magtech brass 12 ga shotgun is sold by midwayusa. I am just amazed to see that shoulder cannon fired. I did not know that action could take that kind of back thrust. 900 grains is a lot more than any 12 gauge shell was loaded with back then. The cloud of black smoke is amazing. That would certainly be the gun to stop a grizzly up close. I have no intention of firing such a rifle, But did so much enjoyed that video of you all shooting it.

I was wondering why I haven't seen your content of late, seems I was unsubscribed. you should try to do something with Scott over at Kentucky ballistics. I say that for a couple reasons. one I believe it would turn your channel on to millions of people. two he has big, odd guns, like the 4-bore rifle. that would be awesome. I mentioned on over there, but I don't know if he reads comments anymore because there's so many now.

Yes, a 24" half Round half Optigon with a Skinner peep site, right where the receiver barrel comes together. A stainless receiver with a high gloss. Blue barrel would look cool also.

I'm going to let you have it all to yourself!! 😂😂 My shoulder is bruised for a week after 10 rounds in the 50-110. I can't imagine you have much meat left in your shoulder after shooting the 70-230!

It looks like it has similar ballistics to my S&W 500 with 8” barrel with a 700 Gr projectile. I have 4 S&W 500s 2 with 8” barrel and 2 with 4” barrel. But I must ask where did you get all those jeans from ? I have never seen so many used jeans in one place before For years I have owned that same lever action shotgun. Mine is not rifled it just a 12 Ga shotgun Ricky from IBM

So far the maximum velocity we got it up to was 1536 with a 900 grain bullet, yeah 12 gauge is pretty impressive were using a 12 gauge brass cartridge neck down to 70 caliber

That's gotta"Hurt" !!! I thought that those actions were too weak ??? Perhaps a more modern version that includes "Recoil Reduction" could solve a few if the negatives ??? I would be very interested in seeing What it would take to stop it . I don't know if I would hunt a dangerous game with it. If you miss or need a follow-up shot, recovering from the recloe might get you in big trouble.

I checked Wikipedia on that 75 caliber it was 75 to 80 in millimeter it was 19 to 20 mm round. I think they came out with the wrong ball a little bit later it was a 10 and 1/2 lb real soldiers 69 caliber anyway even the 58 caliber when you look on ballistic wounds from that 58 caliber bullet it is nasty

You can hide in the smoke cloud if that bullet doesn't stop the Dinosaur you just shot !!! The heavy barrel plus it being threaded for the Recoil Reduction Device ... And a serious butt pad could just get the Recoil down enough ??? Where you didn't Dislocate your shoulder every time you squeeze the trigger ??? But I always heard that those guns had design flaws causing broken parts ??? Interesting to follow to see ??? What's reason for necking down the cartridge/bullet size instead of the full 12 Gage size ???
