Okay I can’t say enough about this gorgeous book! Your work is impeccable. I love what you did with the illustrations of the little Bible. I think this is just beautiful Val. The way you put signatures together and the colors the absolutely gorgeous colors of Gods rainbow 7 colors throughout in images and everything just wow!

You do such beautiful work, every time I see a new video up from you I am so excited to watch it. I have one of your more recent pieces, and I adore it, trying to decide how I want to use it or if I will gift it to my daughter. I do have a question, you mentioned using a collage medium over the wall paper pieces in the back and I was wondering if you could say what type of medium it is? I have used some in the past when working with paper and find over time that they get sticky, something I'd like to avoid. Maybe you could give a hint or two. Thanks for sharing, and again everything you make is stunning.

Hello! Hello!🥰Thank you for your sweet comment!☺Now, down to business...STICKY IS NOT GOOD!😯😬🤔 I have found Liquitex Professional & Distress Collage medium to be quite workable. I did a test sample on the antique wallpaper to see how it would react to the Distress Matte. I loved the color & did not want it to turn yellow...yuck! It did just fine although it did darken the wallpaper slightly but that is what I expected anyway. I also waited several weeks after applying the mediums to the wallpaper for them to dry so I could stitch them on my sewing machine before gluing them to the interior book boards. I believe the key here is patience & waiting a good while for mediums to dry totally. Also using thinner layers of the medium by applying two or more coats but again allowing it to dry completely between each coat hopefully will give you the desired effect. I'm sure all of your information will help me to find the correct medium for the work I am hoping to do, and Patience may just be the key here. Thank you and I have to say, I suspect you are in Maine, I live in California now but was born on the East Coast, my mom was born in Eagle Lake, Maine and lived many years in Brunswick before moving to CT. My daughters dad is from Maine and sadly she was just up to FT. Kent to bury him. We are a family that loves Maine, every time we drove over that big green bridge, I felt like I was home. Enjoy your little cottage in Maine, I'm a tad jealous.
