I did put out a community post letting everyone know I will be taking a break until after Christmas, my plan was to put out a few videos before Christmas but I managed to get covid and have been taking it easy. A bonus with this loadout that is purely psychological (and people have mentioned this before in different videos) is that when playing single shot weapons you tend to play better because you focus more on fast peaks and not getting out in the open and shooting shot after shot. Less or more cockiness because of loadouts is a big deal in this game

It’s funny because irl it was the opposite. During the civil war the south didn’t wanna give their troops repeating rifles as they thought it would make them waste Ammo and be less careful when aiming but it turns out it meant theyd shoot their single shot rifle fast with little aiming so they could reload sooner

Getting in the habit of using single shots and making shots count is a great skill to have when using rifles with more ammo. I love the springfield 1866

I actually run the same tool loadout as you but either a spear or a standard knife instead of the axes. I had to buy a skin for that flare gun though, and you know its a good game when you run out of flares. I just love the flare. i have to force myself not to use it, honestly 😂

i know your probably dont care about this bcuz u play to get content but if u prestige and go completely broke you can run these loadouts semi seriously and add another layer to hunt which is alot of fun i recommend it

I do add gain for night maps. But my settings in game are all low, except for texture, texture filtering and antialiasing which are all max. 👍

I hear ya :) I was halfway through the video before the old map came back, I was having issues with the old map, shadows, shadow distance was awful, but I think it was a Crytek issue as it may be fixed now. For reference though, everything is on low, except for texture, texture filtering and antialiasing. 👍

Is there a reason for using springfield shotry version over the normal one?

Using the medium slot springy allows me to take the medium romero on fresh hunters, otherwise I would need quartermaster. The medium springy has a little more sway but when you get a tasty kill on an opponent it's much more satisfying 😁

really should spend the extra 45 bucks for the explosive ammo - now you're able to capitalise on hunters hastily hiding behind solid cover to patch themselves up if you cannot reach them in time

@@Aanderan I've never really used explosive ammo, it's always been seen as a bit of a meme. But I can see it being fun to use.

@@madmeaty9445 it's silly on weapons like the uppercut, but the toploaders like the martini and the springfield find a pretty good usecase for them with the split ammo pool and their single shot nature :p Especially the springfield shorty because you're able to pair it with a long ammo primrary to do massive damage from range before comboing into the boom

I personally never have issues with immolators, they are easily avoidable or just shoot them. But if I had to take something I would take a knuckle knife.

@@Kireki123 practice makes perfect, hit the firing range and shoot those dummies. Try flicking and tracking until you feel comfortable with your sensitivity, don't be afraid to change it depending on your tests. 👍

I don't care about HV on this thing. That's finde by me. This was never meant Put people Back into the dirt, after they died once and it shouldn't be, like forever

Crytek do enjoy adding special ammo to alot of weapons that don't need it, like the dolch 😅

@@madmeaty9445 but adding Special ammo, to guns that don't need another special ammo type, like the centennial dum dum doesn't fix the problem. It just makes it worse and absolutely unfun to play against. The centennial became an abomination, since got dum dum Ammo. This gun deals 123 at Base, an and if you somebody within 30m to the chest, he's insta dead again, die the fact that this player will never be able to stop the bleed in time. The first Tick of bleed kills you, without you being able to anything against it. That's why always say: I rather die to a Springfield 1866, with dum dum ammo, because I know that the itself kills me. And not a bleed tick I that I know, will able to deal with.

The ONLY thing that i absolutely hate about that loadout, is the Springfield Shorty, that thing has a HORRENDOUS iron sight that i just CANNOT stand to play with. Id MUCH rather just take like the Winfield Centennial Shorty that does 120 damage, only 10 less than the Springfield, with dumdum ammo and a MUCH BETTER iron sight AND can fire much faster AND can be levered if you have the trait. Because in the long run what's 10 damage going to do? Plus the Centennial Shorty is ONLY 103 hunt dollars.

It's a great choice, I haven't used it much but I hear it's a strong weapon with dum dum. I personally enjoy using the medium Springfield, I find single shot weapons add a level of excitement to the game. Plus, it's a great challenge!
