Thanks very much for your review. I have only a small patch of grass to deal with so I was looking into these cheap blade style trimmers but honestly that sounded like it was bogging down as it hit those small clumps of grass. I really don't need anything very powerful but this just seems like a toy. I'd be super frustrated moving along my deck that slowly and having to be careful not to keep hitting the wood. So thanks for showing the most honest review - I'll look into the bigger heavier machines so as not to be disappointed.

Got one for my mum, because it was light weight, not heavy duty but will sort out a household garden no worries with a bit of patience. The plastic blade is quite a nifty design, if you hit anything hard it can rotate back on its own axis, so it actually lasts quite a while, no need to fill a nylon spool. The plastic blade just simply locks on, and it comes with spares that store in a box built into the handle.

I live in a 4 bedroom house with a large front and back lawn and many obstacles, I have been using this trimmer for over a year with no problems. It takes a bit of practice after using a petrol trimmer but once you get used to it it's good for trimming and edging. The blades can be hit and miss which is the biggest problem, sometimes they are brittle and break too easily..
@MaxReviewss
@MaxReviewss 3 жыл бұрын
You are right, it is a good line trimmer for the right lot size. Good thing is, it is almost silent and has no trouble starting like 2 stroke petrol line trimmers. On the negative side, it is slow and less powerful comparing to petrol ones.

@@MaxReviewss definitely slower than petrol starting out, I'm very used to it now though and think I'm just as fast as I was with the petrol one

Is it possible to buy and replace with metal blades instead of using the cheap plastic blades it comes with?
@lukaspapik1124
@lukaspapik1124 2 жыл бұрын
Works OK but I wish I had bought the line trimmer. The plastic blade is not suitable for cutting grass near concreted or fenced areas since it will leave scratches. I wonder if it is possible to replace the blade spindle with a line spool?
@elduderino7767
@elduderino7767 Жыл бұрын
there is a 3d model you can print that replaces the spool with a line version that being said you should really be using the guide against concrete, if the blade is hitting the concrete you aren't using it as it's designed, the guide is suppose to prevent contact - the guy in the video isn't using it right either

I've had one for 6 years and it's really good as a grass/weed trimmer and does edging as well. It's not a heavy duty tool but is very effective for what it is. After all this time the 1.5 amp hour battery is still going strong. I have a 4.0 amp hour battery as well and it will go for a couple of hours. The blades can sometimes snap if you hit a rock, however a pack of 50 is only $25 at Bunnings and that is enough for a few years. You can also buy a pack of 100 generic brand blades on line for about $15 although I haven't tried these.

yes.. if you use it like the guy in this video you are doing it wrong, the blade is only suppose to contact grass and not the wall, concrete, etc.. there is a metal guide that you are suppose to pull out proper instructions are shown in the short clipped labelled "Ozito PXC 18V Grass Trimmer Edging & Trimming Tips [PXCLTS-018]"

I don't recommend after using it more than 2 years. The blade wears out very quickly. As there is only one blade being attached, it will lose balance very soon, then makes a lot noise and impacts the performance. So you have to be very careful and move it slowly. Time waste and results in sore arms.

The grass trimmer plastic blades are a horrible design.. they keep breaking and/or fly off. the replacement blades are expensive.. also, the metal stub that holds the blade to the cutting blade rotating wheel wears off and the blades cannot be fitted anymore.. there is no replacement part for this rotating wheel.. the whole trimmer becomes unusable..
