They over-charged. It's a tactic to get people off. First degree means they have to prove it was planned, she didn't plan to start a fight and for him to go for the window... even her own lawyer said she was likely guilty of 2nd degree homicide.

Yep, that's sad. Even the jury was shocked because of the decision they were forced to make. But the bond agent got charged with first degree murder. This implies the intend to kill, but there was no evidence of deliberate intent. As far as I know you can't be charged twice for the same crime. If she were charged with manslaughter, she would be in prison today.

The guy who put the camera down on the beach didn't break any laws. Any time you're in a public space you can be filmed without your consent. It's literally no different than someone sitting there looking at you. You decided to go into public where anyone can see you so- the court assumes you knew you were going to be seen by others, you have no expectation of privacy on a public beach. Now had he placed it in some way that would look under their clothing- such as putting it on the ground while they're wearing a skirt or dress- that's illegal. But just filming someone sunbathing isn't. If it were- and you went to the beach and took a picture of your kid- while some lady was sunbathing in the background- you could be charged.
