imagine being able to switch from platformer to sidescroller mid level, that would be used in every recent tab level and would make for some good levels if used correctly with the song trigger

The sad thing is you have to imagine because rob said that you won’t be able to switch mid level (he could change his mind but probably not as it would be hard to code)

I'll be honest i think it's very unnecessary, if you really need a chase in a platformer level you can just make a wall of spikes rush after you

i think its a hot take to say that the song trigger will be a great part of the update. im really excited since there are parts in songs that i want to cut out in my levels, since sometimes it might flow better. also its useful if you want a drop that lasts longer than 15 seconds.

Something I haven't seen anybody talk about is that the song trigger could, in theory, be used to make completely original music. I think we'll see a few people start to make music levels. By cutting between parts of a song, you can sample a song and make something unique out of it. I think this will lead to more creative level makers using the tool to splice together super unique music out of the preexisting Newgrounds music.

If duals are available in platformer mode, this one will already have as many as 6 buttons! and minigame creators will be able to do crazy things with those 6 buttons, and you can even combine them!And that's even more features!

Tbh i think that random trigger abuse won't be an issue since the levels are rated by robtop so he can avoid rating levels that abuse those.

6:55 its not only 4x speed, its also 3x speed. i tried with my level on gd world, and when the spider was going at 3x speed, it was doing this animation. also, why are they called "spiders" when they have 4 legs only ?

With the song trigger now you can literally make a Mario Castle level with the boss music starting when you reach the boss without making the level normal meaning you can use Platformer mode and still have the boss music play during the boss.
