On Ali Express there are all different types of carbon fiber interior pieces for ok price, front door speakers rings, shifter console, door handle area, around instrument cluster. Also there is a concept style shifter for the auto cars in satin silver, had one on my car since around 2012 and can be found for good price.

@@CamaroTime Well, you must have some really good ones Mr. Pete. Most the ones I seen don't really fit right, and/or won't stay on. They hang on floor mats, and sneakers, and anything else. I've had one come off the brake pedal when I least expected it. I suppose these conditions are a lot less likely in an automatic, but I don't trust anything with less than 3 pedals. 😜 I guess I was generalizing a bit much. I'm sure there are good ones. There's a lot of bad ones though, or maybe I just had bad luck with them. 😁 Thanks man!

As long as we're discussing interior mods, someone needs to address the 400 lb blend door gorilla in the room. I just learned about this problem that apparently all 5th gens have eventually. I leaned about it cuz mine is broken. 😫 Apparently it's like $3k to fix. My heat/air don't really do hot or cold anymore. Just luke warm all the time. This should be a recall. How do we get that process started?!!! I'm worried to death over it. Idk what I'm gunna do. I don't have $3k to fix it. Thanks Mr. Pete. Let us know what you know.

I have seen many people on the forums talking about the blend door problem. I am sure you have tried this but try cycling the temp control knob from warm to cold, slowly a couple times with the car running. After going all the way slowly each direction with about a 3 second pause at the end of each side. If that does not help try it again with the car not running but switched on.......Sometimes the electronics to relearn home position. If that does not work, have the control checked to make sure it is not faulty. If the blend door is faulty there are only 2 solutions left. 1 is the 3k option. It costs that much because they have to remove the windshield and complete dash assembly then reinstall........The second option is removing the driver's seat so you or someone can lay on their back and carefully cut the side of the air box out. If you use something like a Dremel Multi Max tool you can cut the air box, fix blend door and the reinstall the piece you cut out. And with the Multi Max it fits back nice and tight. Then use a little bit of plastic caulk on it. Done right, you will not be able to tell it was even cut........Thanks for watching

It just won't go all the way hot or cold. Just a small variation in the middle. Just thought you might wanna put the word out. If enough of us get together n complain, a recall maybe, lol. they will never do a voluntary recall.....Point in case . Tahoes, Suburbans, Avalanche, Escalade, and others use the same exact dash pad from 2006 to just recently. Everyone of them crack in the same place. One next to the passenger side airbag and the other right over the instrument cluster. tens of thousands of complaints and they always put the blame on the warranty being out of date........I know I have conacted every news organization out there local and national telling them because when the air bag deploys, you will have shards of sharp plastic heading right at you.....But they do not care.

Hey distinctogre they had a recall on the ac compressor not turning on I got a letter on my 2011 ss camaro when I first got it not sure if this will help you out but you make can check on it because I still get letters about the key fob recall

I tried making kick plates out of stainless steel, turned out ok but not perfect, I will not pay $100 to $200 for kick plates...I need a nibble...(better investment) & if I can figure out how to make it perfect I will sell um cheap.
