The reason you couldn't get that last file transferred properly is because you were trying to put it into a folder named "prefernces" instead of "preferences".

7 makes sense for a beta, it was the design overhaul, and would be a beta that many would be interested in, 1-2 2-3 3-4 4-5 5-6 were all minimal upgrades, 7-8 8-9 were also minimal, 7 physically looked completely different, of course people would be interested

You could still download the older betas direct as IPSW, but they had a chance of deactivating (even while in use!) with a message telling you that you must restore back to a retail build after it expires

I actually left my mark on legacy ios kit! Submitted some issue reports and stuff, many of which got resolved! Namely, being able to mount the data partition from ios versions 9 and above.

yeah blank baseband means it didn't work my iphone 5s on 7.0.6 does that but i didn't do anything to it so i think its a hardware problem
