My fave method of lighting is putting a light source one block deep in the ground, and covering it with moss carpet. I use these on paths and dispersed throughout more open natural areas of my world. All the blocks surrounding the carpet need to be anything other than dirt paths to sell the look, since dirt paths would expose show a little peak of the light source.

I love variety in lighting, but one of my favourites is jack o lanterns or frog lanterns with a moss carpet over it! Very subtle!

my favourite method of lighting (since i make lots of farmland around my builds) is to hide lava cauldrons next to dirt paths/farmland and underneath a full block. because the dirt path/farmland is like 1 pixel shorter than other blocks, it has a tinyyyy sliver of a gap that allows the light to shine through, making an invisible light source :) moss carpets on light blocks are also great!

You can also have a glowing block covered with carpet, it makes the floor very brightly lit without having lighting visible

I loved all of these ideas! I'm especially in love with the mushroom lamps, I'll probably add those to my survival world soon Here's another idea for the comment section! This one's a bit more expensive in Survival Mode, but imho it looks rly cool if you're either in Creative Mode or if you have an iron farm in your survival world. Ik Waxfraud just said to not use torches but trust me this can make them look a lot more aesthetically pleasing if used in the right environment lol Fun fact: You can place torches and item frames on the same block! (Well at least in Java, I'm not entirely sure if this works in Bedrock tbh, if anyone tries this on there feel free to lmk how it works cus now I'm curious haha.) So here's what you do: Place a torch, place an item frame behind it, and then put an anvil in the item frame. (You can also place the item frame and then the torch behind it.) The anvil will look like a torch holder! This looks even cooler if you have a resource pack that makes item frames invisible, but even if you don't, I don't think it negatively affects the presentation too much. I've used these in more castle-type medieval builds before and they give such a great vibe. You can also try using soul torches if you prefer the blue color or eerie vibe for your build. I'd recommend at least giving it a shot!

I like to use the jack o lantern to light up my farmlands. I think they look nice on a fence, too. I also like the glow-stone with a daylight sensor on top as streetlights, coming on as it gets dark. I like to use frog lights with a trapdoor over it. Depending on which trapdoor and frog light you use, you can get different looks. I use the glowberries, often outside in the trees. I put a moss block in the tree leaf area if needed. The end lights also make good lamps. I like to use prismarine or chiseled quartz block for the lampshade. It also looks good as an under counter or cupboard light. I enjoy your videos and Twitch streams very much. Thanks for doing them.
