It’s completely distracted my brain from focussing on my current pain and inabilities and just focussing on this beautiful, well balanced pace of story telling. I tried to listen to this a few weeks ago, while I drifted off to sleep, but instead, it kept me awake, as I was gripped by the story. These stories are even more amazing as when I was a child, we never heard much about the mongols or their empire. Our education was so Eurocentric. Which made a little sense, but this is such a larger piece to our human puzzle. Thanks you for helping fill in a big gap in my world history education! Love this channel. Someone here mentioned Cooper did an AMA in which he said he had only a few more to go, as he was running out of civs to describe. I just hope he gets to Western Rome and the British Empire. While overdone, his take on those civs will have value (you can't really have a podcast called "Fall of Civilizations" without including Rome, one hopes).
@Ryan.G.SpaldingАй бұрын
@ I guess you are right. I thought they had Rome, but the Byzantine one kind of missed the first part. I have watched many things about it but I don’t really know how it happened. Not in the detail he goes into. Maybe there isn’t Information? But that seems hard to believe. Like how did they keep the border where they did to keep going with the eastern stuff? Or how did the Greek City States fall and turn into Rome? I think he could keep going forever just getting more niché. I would also love a summary episode of commonalities among all of them. Fall of Humanity. Haha
@codybell688212 күн бұрын
@Ryan.G.Spalding I think for sure he can do one about the greek city states, (macedonian wars) Or more specifically about the Macedonian empire and the wars of the diadochi We could also for sure see one about the Sassanids perhaps. Take away the absolute genius that is abundant in all of the FOC series this guy has the greatest toned narrator's voice ever. There is not enough superlatives in the English language to describe the utter brilliance.

My life has been so rough recently man, you have no idea. With that said, you also have zero idea how much this surprise makes all the struggle worth it. Cheers mate.

The only channel I check every day for new podcasts, knowing full well it is months in between uploads. Absolutely worth the wait every single time. Absolutely amazing work. Thank you for the incredible hard work and effort put into every single episode. Your work, and the work of your team, is second to none. I've told everyone I know interested in history about this channel, and will continue to do so. Be safe, be well, and thank you again.
