Thanks for taking the time to make this video. Very helpful information! I ended up designing and 3d printing the spacers. So far so good!

You can easily dish your wheel to the left by loosening the back wheels’ right side spokes, then tighten the left side spokes the same amount of turns
@junkyard_dog1119 ай бұрын
Ya, your totally right. I forgot to mention that. I thought about it but I've only tighten my spokes before and I was nervous that my brand new rim wouldnt be true.

Good tip on the washers. Maybe someone needs to make a small one piece washer made with different thickness options

Can I just buy 16 19 dirtbike rims or do they have to specifically for the surron?

Notice any difference in clearance / going over logs etc?
@lucaskapow6 ай бұрын
You didn't mention the kickstand spring clearance. I wish I'd known about that before I pulled the trigger.

Sorry I didnt think about that. Hasn't bothered at all.

Did you notice any random clicking/ticking from the chain or front sprocket area after installing the sprocket washers? My stock sprocket is slightly warped and now I hear random clicking from what seems to be the front sprocket. Usually but not always only under load. Very seldom heard on a stand. Do you use gps for your speed and distance measurements?
@junkyard_dog1119 ай бұрын
My brake used to make that clicking(almost like the sound of a Locust) My stock sprocket and rear wheel got bent and warped also, That's when i decided to go 19x16. You only have to buy a back wheel if you want to save money. That drove me crazy, my back brake rubbed and my rim was also bent and wobbly. With this new set up I don't have any of those issues. Make sure your rim is trued up, and get a new brake rotor to help with that. For speed and distance, yes i use GPS, I use Strava App. Works Great!

@@junkyard_dog111 awesome thanks man. Yea it’s driving me crazy as well. Not sure wether to go milk racing here in Sweden or wait until summer vacation and pick up another brand 16” rear wheel. Hope I get rid of the noise.
@junkyard_dog1119 ай бұрын
Milk racing makes an amazing product at good price. I recommend them, I live in the States and still went with Milk. If you go warp9 you have to buy there rotors, so if you have 250mm upgraded rotors they dont work on warp9. Thats why I went with Milk.
@marrzie4679 ай бұрын
@@junkyard_dog111 Well that’s perfect. I can get them here cheaper than warp9. Thanks. One more thing, do you recommend the thicker spokes option?

Your rear tire is way to heavy, it has near 3.8kg. There are few 16" models which total weight is under 3kg, I managed to acheave 5.4kg on rear wheel, barely lost any range
@junkyard_dog1119 ай бұрын
Ya your right, they do have lighter tires, I check that out when its time. What are you running? But honestly 1-2lbs doesn't matter that much, I barley lost any range when I first switched. Then after the 85 forks it was noticeable. I'll just take a crap before i ride to loose that extra weight. haha jk
