Flawless game by Andrew Hong, brilliant. Are players learning from Carlsen's end games? If so, then the pieces exchange mid game strategy could become less successful for Carlsen in the future.

This system is probably the best way for white to get an advantage against the Caro-Kann. Carlsen got outplayed and after the modest Bc5-b4! instead of a3-a4 he would have suffered massively.
@briankiburg10456 ай бұрын
Hey so at kzbin.info/www/bejne/bX3cdZ9-i8x7ma8 8:47 after Qd3 setting up battery with bishop and threatening mate, you say it "forces magnus to trade queens," basically. Now I may be missing something....but what about responding with ....Qb2+, if white blocks with Bishop you win a piece, and if he moves the King, there are a LOT of different squares the White King can move, but there's also a LOT of access that black queen can dance around the rows 1-3. And then those two knights swooping over at some point . Can always block the Queen bishop path with the d Knight back to f5 protected with Pawn... but I'm thinking the Queen has a series of possible moves after that b2 + cutting over, forcing the King to dance, and then bringing a knight or two over, ideally with a check on a square you've left protected by your Queen following a check. What am i missing here? Any input on this line from the engine? Thanks in advance.
